Guest guest
Hi Donna, What is your cholesterol? What are the current counts of HDL and LDL (plus lab ranges) It took me three years of eating vegetarian for my cholesterol to drop. Three years! So if you only gave it a year or less, that wasn't long enough. Fish oils and exercise will raise you good cholesterol. I am also taking calcium d-glucarate for estrogen issues. But it also lowers cholesterol. My total cholesterol is now 166. I'm used to it being around 225. ar
Guest guest
Hi Donna: Mr. Bob and Immunologist has used a mushroom blend that has achieved good results. His ph is 949-525-7198 From: Donna <dscroggs44646@...> Subject: [ ] OT Question? Date: Monday, September 21, 2009, 10:49 AM I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions for my high cholesterol. I am on Crestor and I am trying to not take any more statins all different ones, been on them for years and really getting tired of all the side effects but when I go to the doctor right away by my blood work she can tell I'm not taking it. I have tried natural red rice yeast, ACV, diet and exercise to no avail. My problem was inherited Dad had the same problem. I just read about how they can cause Parkinson's and other neuological problems and I sure as hell don't need that. Maybe that is why we see an increase in MS in adults these days who knows with all this crap they want us to take and put in our bodies. Hell it's time for my Mammogram and now they are saying they can cause cancer, you can't win for losing!!!! So any ideas anyone? Guest guest
Garlic--brought mine down 30 points in less than three months. Try Dr. Schultz formulas (herbdoc.com). Check out his Protect formula--that is one I take daily. Kyolic is another good odorless garlic supplement--at most health food stores. Guest guest
Hi Donna, How long were you vegan? Calcium with D is NOT the same as Calcium D-Glucarate. Please run some google searches on calcium D-Glucarate. Calcium with vitamin D is not going to lower your cholesterol. But Calcium D-Glucarate is said to lower your cholesterol by about 12 points. Also, untreated thyroid disease will raise your cholesterol. It is possible to have subclinical hypothyroidism - which shows as " normal " on your blood tests. This will cause your cholesterol to go up. ar > > My good cholesterol was 50 today my bad was 240 it has been up too > 500.I forgot what she said the triglyceride's were now. Guest guest
You can read about the theory behind Heart Plus and heart disease at: http://store.ourhealthcoop.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=he It is much more effective than a cholesterol-lowering statin drug with none of the vast array of side effects, some fatal, from statin drugs. Guest guest
Three supplements : Red Rice Yeast an ancient remedy from China and Guggul from the Indian Tradition. Both works as good as the very dangerous if not lethal statins..but without major side effects . See : http://www.jmbblog.com/coronary-heart-disease-best-kept-secrets-part-3-drugs/ http://www.jmbblog.com/coronary-heart-disease-best-kept-secrets-statins/ You have to take also CoQ10 to bring back energy to your heart depleted of this vital enzyme by the use of statins drugs. I am not a doctor but it is what responsible doc gives to theirs patients > I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions for my high > cholesterol.... >

Guest guest
If you are blood type 0, you should probably switch to flaxseed oil instead of the fish oil. Brought my cholesterol down naturally--no RX drugs. Just a suggestion. Guest guest
A year or so ago, I went to my brother in law's doctor's office. I saw a book on a side table, and asked him if he thought it was worth me ordering a copy. He said it was an old book, that he'd gotten as a textbook in medical school. He said the reason he kept it was that it showed in print the acceptable levels of cholesterol that were considered healthy in the 70s. He said now, they say that this level is unacceptable and unhealthy, and you have to lower the levels, but now that people are following these new guidelines, there's more Heart problems, Gallbladder problems, and other health issues that never were a problem back in the 70s.... There's a lesson to be learned by looking at history! Guest guest
Hi Donna, If I were you, I would check all I can get on magnesium chloride. Magnesium deficiency appears to be the major cause of bone calcium loss and other bone problems. Chloride is readily absorbable through the skin in its innorganic form, cheap as can be when you resource well, with minimum, if any risk of overdosing. Just google it up. It has also other benefits to have around, you will find out, but bone regeneration, and soft tissue calcification control are the major functions. With kind regards, Slavek Donna wrote: > > > > yes I have read the side effects and haven't had any but I do natural > things also and have been doing them but my last bone density shows I > have lost more so that is why she put me on Evista. > Donna ACS

Guest guest
Thank you I will look into buying some . Maybe I could get a script from my doctor so my insurance covers it. Guest guest
> > Hi, Ar, Please advise where you get liquid D3. > Jim Jim, Just google it. I get it online from wherever I find a good price. Be aware that the sources for D3 are either lanolin or fish. I'm allergic to fish, so I have to purchase a brand that specifies it is from lanolin. You also need to decide how much you are going to take. ar
Guest guest
Amazingly, Florida did not help me too much and I regularly get full sun exposure but admittedly am ancient and apparently we, aged and that tan well, do not get as much benefit. We shall see at my next test. DO NOT, remain lax and get weight training exercises as that can be more important than you think. Joe
Guest guest
Just came across the following post on the DMSO list: http://www.betterbones.com/blog/post/Can-prunes-reverse-bone-loss.aspx " Dr. Arjmandi's several successful animal and human studies document that special phenolic compounds in dried plums up-regulate growth factors linked to bone formation (such as IGF-1) and counter the activity of factors that inhibit bone formation (such as TNF-alpha). It probably also helps that prunes are one of the foods highest in antioxidants and also contain generous amounts of various key bone nutrients including potassium, boron, and copper. While Dr. Arjmandi has found other natural substances capable of halting bone loss, prunes were the only food found to actually restore lost bone. This summer Dr. Arjmandi and colleagues will complete a landmark, controlled human clinical trial on prunes and bone health. For this study, 120 post-menopausal women have been taking either 100 grams of prunes (9-10 a day) or an equivalent portion of dried apples for one year. While it will be a few more months before all the research data is in, thus far 30 women in the prune group have had at least a 6% increase in hip bone, and one woman had an exceptional 11% increase consuming prunes over the year.
