Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I had cancerous lumps in each breast dx in Jan/08. I refused all surgery and it metasticized to the right axilla within 2 months. I am now stage 4 with lung and bone involvement. I also would not get radiation if I were you. The lumpectomy is a good idea. You may have to lie to them and tell them you'll follow up with radiation. In Canada they won't do a lumpectomy unless they are just diagnosing the cancer. If you have a needle biopsy (I did, another mistake), and it comes back positive they insist on radiation after the lumpectomy. If they radiate your breast and you have a local reccurence, your breast has to be removed. If you get a simple lumpectomy and you get a recurrence, you can just get another lumpectomy. Whatever you do Barbara, treat yourself like it's already spread. Be very aggressive with your diet and supplements. You don't want it to spread. I am only saying this because of my experience. I was very nonchalent to the point of arrogance from the get-go, now I'm " terminal " in the allopathic eyes...not in my eyes. Don't just " treat " the cancer, do a lifestyle change...this may make it easier. Leonard mentioned Coley's Toxins. If you are in the States, you can legally get Coley's Toxins. The Toxins are free but unfortunately, you may have to get someone to pick them up personally from the lab and wierd as it sounds they have to drive across the border into Canada in a non-commercial vehicle to get them (ie: fly into Detroit, rent a car and drive across the border). These are the insane FDA rules. If I lived in Ontario, I'd pick them up and ship them but I don't...I'm clear across the country. The website is mbvax.com. This Dr. is getting excellent results with his Toxins in Brazil and Mexico. He's recently changed his formula and the results are getting better. The Brazillian Dr.'s are reporting a 100% effective rate for breast cancer, (keep in mind ALL Dr.'s exaggerate their results). There is also a Dr. using them in Germany as well as the IAT center in the Bahamas. Those 2 haven't reported results and are mixing the treatment with many other treatments. I've studied the Toxins a lot and they are very effective for breast cancer. You cannot get the MBVAX toxins in Canada. He was giving them away 4 months ago and Health Canada told him to stop. He absolutely cannot supply Canadians or he will be thrown into jail and his lab will be destroyed. This guy is fighting with Health Canada and the FDA to get them used on compassionate basis. It's a crime they've made them illegal in Canada. A Dr. in the US can prescribe them to you but he also has to supervise the injections. You'll have to find a Dr. willing to do this. The FDA has a lot of rules about them but they're not enforcing them. Sounds real " KGB " but I've been investigating these for 3 months. If anyone knows of a good Dr. in the US willing to do this, he could make it a good business as these toxins look very, very effective and not a lot of people know about them. Here's a website with some of the results of Coley's Toxins in general: http://www.whale.to/cancer/coleys.html Louise > > Hi ar, > > I received diagnosis 2 days ago that I have early stage IDC in one breast. Surgery for lumpectomy is June 17th followed by radiation. I do NOT want the radiation!! And absolutely will not do chemo if that suggestion comes around later. Guest guest
Louise, Leonard and - again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your recommendations and for sharing. I'm overwhelmed by the generosity of thought and care and time put into replying with help! This whole thing is such a huge surprise to me in a body that I have always treated with huge respect and thought that I was one of the healthiest people around. go figure. Now I have a lot of reading to do and follow up and sourcing of the items that I can get. Louise, I am in Ontario, Canada and will read more about Coley's Toxins. I will likely stay away from fermented soy (or any form) as we're pretty sure that this is physically an estrogen related breast cancer. Now, I just have to work on figuring out mentally and spiritually why I've created this. Barbara

Guest guest
Barbara, seeing as you are in Canada, insist on a PET Scan. It's free. Resist sith all your might in taking no for an answer. It will tell you if the cancer has spread or not. My smallest tumor, 0.7 cm spread to the axilla...a palpable 1 cm lump within 2 months. My guess...it was already there at dx. Just be thorough in your dx. I know of women where they did mastectomies @ then did PETs/MRI's or CT's only to find they were stage 4 already. I think a woman should have a complete dx before major syrgery. A PET has less rad than a CT. Louise Sent wirelessly from my BlackBerry device on the Bell network. Guest guest
All well. I was asking in the name of a friend living in Brazil > > It's illegal for Brazillian Dr.'S to take patients from outside their country. They are setting up shop in Paraguay but are still not taking international patients. Once they start, I'll post it. > > Louise > > From: " johnmagal " > Date: Sun, 30 May 2010 > Subject: [ ] Re: Barbara....Breast Cancer > > Louise > please give name and contact of the Brazilian doc who is being successful with breast canc > thanks > >
Guest guest
As for pet scans, I've asked my family Dr. for a pet scan. At one time he said he would order one for me but the last time i told him that I wanted a pet scan he said they are very expensive! He knows I have no medical insurance, he's not looking out for my well being only looking out for the medical establishment! Here I am diagnosed with bladder carcinoma with a 7 mm spot on my lung. Don't know what that spot might be because my Dr. won't order any tests for me! I don't know what the answer is. Barbara
Guest guest
Sorry, I thought you were in Canada. If you get a prescription and can travel, I saw the price on a PET Scan in Quebec is $2,500.
