Guest guest
I'm new to the group and hoping to find some information. A couple of weeks ago I had a tumor removed from my colon along with 12 " of my colon. Cancer was also found in 4 out of 20 lymph nodes that were removed at the same time. Six months of chemotherapy is being recommended to make sure the cancer is gone. There is no sign of it on my catscan or xrays. I've read Bill 's book and I'm considering following that protocol instead of chemo. Has anyone had experience with that protocol and colon cancer? Thanks! Guest guest
Can you explain briefly this protocol? i have some experience with colon cancer because my husband had cancer in his transverse colon, surgically removed in 2006, with 3 positive lymphnodes out of 14, he was stage III.b. The problem is: prevention of metastases. He did the conventional chemo (Xelox regimen) and then CAM treatments. Some cancers are " cured " by surgery only, some cancers are " microsatellite high " and less prone to metastasize... I think testing for microsatellite status ( a molecular marker)and testing for circulating tumor cells (in the blood) helps understanding if the tumor is likely to spread... karla > > I'm new to the group and hoping to find some information.
