Guest guest
Hi All I know this is not the fasting list (the 2 I'm on are pretty silent) but am hoping someone on here has done the Master Cleanse. I have been on the Master Cleanse now for 15 days and am wondering if I can keep taking the lemonade mixture and start drinking fresh juice with for 10 days or so, I'm not ready to go off the MC yet for one reason I have a fridge full of Lemons but have been really Hungary the last couple of days. Thanks Lorraine
Guest guest
Will, Thanks for the feedback. I shall try this cleanse 'Master Cleanse' by Stanley Burroughs, in the early Autumn. After my holidays and keep the forum informed of the results. The morning drink seems a good one to try. As you say it's a 'milder' approach. The habit of drinking the water in the AM is great too. Something I have found that helps with digestion of food is " Peppermint tea' Made with fresh mint and 'Celestial' 'Stomachease Peppermint tea' bags (Two to a litre) With 'Pure Maple Syrup' About two tablespoons. Apparently according to Stanley Burroughs the author of 'Master Cleanse'. It's far healthier for you than honey. It has more vitamins and minerals. You should use the grade A organic type for optimum benefit. I make a jug full after dinner, leave it to cool down and sip away during the evening . It helps with that heavy feeling, especially these hot summer evenings. As we all know on this site, there are no hard fast rules to looking after ones own health. You have to listen to your body and take care of it. There are times when I feel very afraid of taking the decision NOT to have the 'butchers' knife. My firm belief is God helps those who helps themselves. My faith is in him to guide me. Even though the road to temptation is always lurking around the corner. Courage to all of us Isabel
Guest guest
Hi Isabel, I have just finished 2 versions of the master cleanse this past July. The first one I finished 10 days starting and ending with a liver flush. I seemed to have a very wonderful experience with no cleansing reaction. I did follow the salt water flush morning and lax tea at night. I only did a few drinks with the cayenne as it left a real bitter taste which I attribute to an allergy. Every now and then I did have cravings for the main foods that I eat, but they were easily controlled. I lost an awful lot of weight which I deemed to be mostly water weight. I can see the difference in my face, arms, legs and, ankles. The second MC I did was just a 5 day refresher 12 days following the first one, so I could finish up with another liver flush. I feel the need to liver flush every couple of weeks and am following my weekends off to do these. I want to keep doing mini cleanses for a few days before each flush. I may vary these with apple juice fasts or other juices. I feel so good while doing the MC that I almost felt bad eating again, but I don't want lower my metabolism any lower as it is pretty low already. I am also interested in hearing about ways to increase the metabolism. G Murray Isabel.Nonnet@... wrote: >Hello Will, > >I wanted to ask your opinion on cleansing. Guest guest
I forgot to tell you about the mastercleanse list that is on groups. It is mostly a support for people actively cleaning but you can ask almost any questions you have about the cleanse and someone will answer as it has probably been done or happened before. This cleanse has been around for many years as my uncle said he has done it way back in the 70's. Guest guest
Cheryl, Ok, start with a 3 day or longer juice cleanse... and work your way up... any cleansing or fasting you do will help. Remember, anything is better than nothing... and as you see how you are improving will be more of an incentive to go farther... as for the website... if I get time today I'll check the message archives (search for wheatgrass) and see if I can find it for you. Suzicctux <cctux@...> wrote: Hi team!I have been seriously considering trying the Master Cleanse. But I know there is no way I will stick to this for 10 days!!! For thosewho have done this, is a 3 day cleanse helpful at all or is it just not enough time to make any impact? Did anyone out there actually make it the full 10 days? If so, any suggestions for me?FYI - Wolfe, the raw foods guy, will be interviewed Mondaynight on Coast to Coast. Also, someone on this list answered a question I had about growing wheatgrass and she suggested I go to a website for contributing used goods or swapping stuff. I thought I had saved the info, but alas, I cannot find it. Any idea what I am talking about?__________________________________________________

Guest guest
I've done the MC for as long as 40 days. And then there have been time when I only make it 3. What are your intentions? When I fasted for weight loss, I only made it 3 days. When I fasted for clarity in my meditation I made it 40. Fasting, for me and I can only speak for me, comes up when it comes up. When I try to plan too much I usually don't make it very far. The 40 days I did were actually very easy. I knew I was starting on "X" day and that was all I planned. Other than that I just let it flow. There was also one time I fasted on water only for 21 days and that just came out of the blue searching the refrigerator one day and there was nothing I wanted to eat, so I decided I was supposed to fast. Guest guest
The master cleanse (lemon juice cleanse) is 3-10 days. The total cleanse (with all the herbs, etc.) is four weeks. Guest guest
I've done the master cleanse that requires 24+ days and made it through. It was not an easy task for DH or I, but well worth it. We tried doing one ealier this year and only made it through 7 days because we were not in the right frame of mind and not prepared. And, oddly enough we just started one on Thursday. Funny but we just decided last minute on Wednesday night, and started the next morning. DH is dying for meat, but i am doing pretty good and actually feel quite well. I have already lost weight and have had 50% decrease in all my allergy symptoms. If you set your mind to this and prepare, it is totally do-able! Good luck Sylvia --- In health , " cctux " <cctux@m...> wrote: > Hi team! > > I have been seriously considering trying the Master Cleanse. Guest guest
Oh, see, i was confused by that too. Isnt the lemon Juice cleanse called " The Lemonade Cleanse " ? Applogies to my last post as i was referring to the Total cleanse with herbs and not the cleanse with Lemon Juice. Sylvia > The master cleanse (lemon juice cleanse) is 3-10 days. Guest guest
It's easy to be confused, Sylvia. So many things are referred to by various names (e.g., Super/Total Tonic and Super/Total Nutrition, just for two). The Lemonade Cleanse is also called the Master Cleanse.
