Guest guest
> > I wonder has hyperthermia been tried on brain tumor patients? > > hope Supposedly what works particularly well for brain cancer is the calorie restricted ketogenic diet, very low carbohydrate, high fat (especially MCT oil, coconut oil and butter, flax and fish oil). Tumors like to feed on carbohydrates, but our brain cells and our body's cells can function on ketones instead of glucose. Have a look at this study: The calorically restricted ketogenic diet, an effective alternative therapy for malignant brain cancer http://www.biomedcentral.com/content/pdf/1743-7075-4-5.pdf http://scholar.google.com.au/scholar?cluster=43542748614562813 & hl=en Do a search on Google Scholar. There are more studies on ketogenic diet and cancer. Ketogenic diet is associated with a significant reduction of blood glucose, lactate, and pyruvate concentrations. DCA (sodium dichloroacetate) works in a similar way, reducing lactate levels, so my feeling is that they (Ketogneic diet + DCA) will work well together to combat cancer.
