Guest guest
Google stevia, there are lots of options, 1 lb for as little as $14.69 from betterherbs of Stevita Spoonable Stevia, where 1/4 tsp = 1 tsp of sugar. There is Sweet Leaf stevia extract that is highly concentrated, though, where 1/4 tsp = 1 cup of sugar, and stevia with fillers so you have to use more for the same amount of sweetness. I don't know which one is using. http://www.azurestandard.com has good prices on the extracts. Guest guest
Dan This sounds interesting. However, how do you know the froth on top is toxic? Have you analyzed it? If you put milk powder in a blender with water. Blend it up and it will foam. Leave it alone and then the foam decreases very fast. That has been my experience. How is this different? Thanks GB > > , the most important thing for you to understand is that consuming large amounts of stevia has almost cured my uncle's cancer in 4 months, and he lost 62 lbs as well. 1 teaspoon per glass, 8 times a day, and his future has changed from having cancer and obesity to one of health and a body that is slimming down daily. Guest guest
Dear List Members, The way this stevia thing is being presented sounds like a scam to me. Please be careful. Warm wishes, Jan
Guest guest
Dan Why must it be the white stevia when the purest form of stevia is the green - pure powderized leaves, nothing added to it. I would suppose the green is more potent too. The pure leaves are extremely sweet, sweeter than the white powder. Wouldn't you thinkt he green would work as well, or maybe even better? Guest guest
This Stevia thread sounds like a scam to me. The originator and so called source of information has presented nothing but a general blathering of what he wants to be heard. His claim about it removing toxins from water are completely unsubstantiated. He promotes White stevia in lieu of the organic green stevia and spams those who contact him via email. Sorry for being a pessimist but I can't tolerate trolls especially when lives are at risk. Guest guest
I agree about it sounding like spam, which is why I'm interested in it. I did some googling and read some interesting things about stevia. But I do not believe it will cure a person of cancer. ar

Guest guest
GB I have the sweet leaf white stevia brand and find the green pure powder is a lot sweeter. My green powder brand is Alternative Health & Herbs Remedies made of organic and shade dried pure stevia rebaudiana. This thing is extremely sweet i only use a tiny pinch and it sweetens my mug of coffee. i could even taste the sweetness in my throat when i open the plastic jar and a bit of powder is inhaled through the nose. This brand has no fillers, preservative, etc., no other ingredient except dried and powderized stevia rebaudiana. The company is in Albany, Oregon. The Sweet Leaf white stevia, is not too sweet. One packet is equivalent to two teaspoons of sugar. Its ingredient list shows fiber (fos) and stevia extract. So my white stevia isn't so pure. This is probably the reason why it is not too sweet like the green powder i have. What brand of white stevia do you use?
Guest guest
I have the book " Stevia Rebaudiana " by . It says " The crude Stevia leaves and herbal powder (green) are reported to be 10-15 times sweeter than table sugar. The refined extracts of Stevia called steviosides ( a white powder, 85-95 Steviosides) claim to be 200-300 times sweeter than table sugar. " GB > > Dan > > Why must it be the white stevia when the purest form > of stevia is the green - pure powderized leaves, > nothing added to it. I would suppose the green is > more potent too. Guest guest
GB Why is the white stevia sweeter? Did you notice the stevioside is only 85 to 95%? What makes up the 5-15% maltodextrin and other fillers? One manufacturer claimed that they altered a stevia plant to remove the bitter taste and to make it sweeter. Hey, i would go for a natural plant anytime.
Guest guest
' I would agree that the green stevia is more natural and more healthy. Why else would companies process the stevia? 2 reasons. One to get the " sweet " chemicals out and two to take the bitterness and " grassiness " out. Almost any cookbook with comparisons will show that it takes a much smaller amount of white stevia compared to green stevia to replace the same amount of sugar. According to the FDA, it cannot be used as a sweetener but in effect, that is it's main purpose although there are some who attribute immune strengthening properties to it. I do not know which compounds make it sweet but myself, my wife and other people I talk to all say that the white tastes sweeter. Healthwise, the green is much better. Guest guest
Be careful using Stevia in large amounts. I used it for 3 months (3 normal servings per day), and then started experiencing severe dizzyness. By the process of elimination and reintroduction of various things I found that Stevia was the culprit. I googled it, and it is a fact that it can cause low blood pressure and low blood sugar after 3 months of use. For some people, this means dizzyness when blood pressure and blood sugar go too low. > > Good morning. I've read your testimonial about stevia and the miracle with your loved ones. Guest guest
This makes a lot of sense. Stevia can lower blood sugar. It is not only a sugar substitute. On the other hand, it MAY help reduce cancer since cancer feeds on blood sugar. Thus lowering the BS would cut the food source for cancer. Dr. Kelley's work would support this. I think more research needs to be done along these lines. evertone reacts different to different supplements including stevia. GB > > Be careful using Stevia in large amounts. Guest guest
Anybody: Over the weekend, I was over in upstate New York. There is a public market that has various vendors. One of these sold herbs and had stevia for sale. I had never had stevia before. I tried some and thought it was sweet with basically no after taste. The vendor indicated that not all stevia sold is basically without an after taste. I bought two bags - one I left with my 12 year old and one I took with me. I have already used some stevia to sweeten tea. The sweetness is good. I don't care for the leafy matter so much. My question is is this stuff supposed to act against tumors? All tumors? Any tumors? I went to wikipedia to find information on stevia. There is nothing conclusive. A study suggested it may be a mutagen, but there was nothing conclusive. Regards, Walter
Guest guest
If you google " stevia + cancer " you will find that stevia has SOD. You may also google " stevia + cancer + SOD.
