Guest guest
I don't like to get in debates over foods, however, the recommendations on this site (www.embodiworks.org) about saturated fats go against the grain of healthy eating. The real danger to our health lies in polyunsaturated fats, hydrogenated oils (trans fats), soy products, MSG and some others packed into pre-prepared foods and off the shelf products. The Weston Price Foundation is dedicated to exposing the false advertising in the food supply. Through dedicated science and research, thye have proven that saturated fats are one of the best food groups we could include in our diet. Regardless of whether you have cancer or not, these foods provide the body with a broad spectrum of benefits. http://www.westonaprice.org/know-your-fats.html I will adamantly stress that red meat is not a bad choice for healthy individuals. However, it should be avoided if you are currently in the throes of cancer. If you are, load up on all things from the sea. I also believe that the argument against avoiding sugar if you have cancer is invalid. Red meat proteins are a target rich source of ingredients for tumor growth, not sugar. Cane sugar is the equivalent of gas in our car, but I do not equate sugar with corn fructose sugars - major difference there. A reasonable amount of anything is not bad, all things in moderation. Avoid foods that are labeled " DIET " as these foods have been over processed or manufactured to remove the healthy fats for example. If you take the T off of DIET, what do you have left........? There is a lot of valuable info, all in one place- especially useful for the newly diagnosed. > > I have no vested interest in this site, by the way. Just wanted to share. > > http://www.embodiworks.org/ > > All the Best, > > Kim >
