Re: Water Filter Recommendations?

I use an Aqua Pour by Nikken. Costs $299 and filters should be replaced every 6

months-year depending on usage and your water quality. Filters are about $25 I

think. I've collected plenty of files about this. If interested I can either

create a folder here (if it's allowed) or I will email them to anyone who asks

(email me at detoxexpert@...). Basically the system is designed to

simulate spring water. It filters the water and puts back the earth energy and

infrared so it's a very high energy water. Most people will notice a bit of a

detox as their cells become hydrated (my husband who was a twice a day or so

urinator was going every half hour or so for a day).

I was just at a friends place for a week and drank Kangen water. Not impressed!

It can be adjusted to whatever pH you want though so if you want to alkalize,

it's helpful for that but the " flavor " of the water is not so great. I didn't

drink much water there. I'm in no way knocking the Kangen system. It gets good

results in those who can afford it.

Drawbacks with Aqua Pour (these are really the only ones I have found in 8 years

of using it):

-it will only remove about 2/3 of fluoride so if you have fluoridated water you

would ideally pour RO water into it (that only works when the filter is good

too...apparently RO will not always remove all fluoride either if the filter is

a bit too old)

-there's no indicator to let you know when to change the filter (we use the six

month rule just in case)

-if you leave it in the sun it will grow algae so you need to make sure you have

a spot to put it first. It's about the size of 25 liter plastic jug. The base

is removable so the spout can hang over the edge if your upper counters are low.

By the way, did you know Brita is owned by Chlorox? How ironic is that?

pitcher but I'd like to know if there is something better I could be using. This

filter would be for every day drinking water, can anyone recommend something

that you, personally, have used and are happy with? I'd appreciate it.
