Guest guest
You had better do some research on that, Katerinka, and satisfy yourself. Having been given a bad name like coconut oil for fifty odd years, some people are recommending it again. Some are saying that the problems started when oils replaced things like lard, and that lard in fact had benefits. Hulda said to use lard, butter, olive oil or coconut oil which do not turn into acrylic acid, but not to use Crisco, margarine or other hydrogenated oils (the process that makes them solid). She says to avoid lard in case of CMV (cytomegalovirus?) Coconut oil is reckoned by many to be the best, and they say that it is a shame to waste the delicate ingredients in olive oil by cooking. But others use Olive Oil anyway.
