Guest guest
Not only are Doctors considered as 'Gods', dairy products have been drummed into the heads of children and adults for the too many years I have been around. What is being missed in this discussion about what people 'should' do because they " should take responsibility " , is that they are taking responsibility by going to the 'experts' (should be spelled exspurts). They often go to those considered the 'best', the Board Certified specialist and we think they should go to some unknown. Our problem in bringing our thoughts to people is not that the people are not taking responsibility, but that what we are trying to sell is the unknown. The fringe. The Quackery, according to some. People are not exposed to anyone that is being helped alternatively but they are quick to be told about Loretta King who died when she visited a Mexican clinic regardless of whether or not she was close to death when arriving there. Then there was Farrah Fawcett who it was claimed tried " alternative " care but people were not told it was not what we would consider alternative. When people ask me for " advice " about what a friend or relative should do, I suggest they have the person themselves need to be the ones asking and seeking. For those of us that think we are 'the way', understand we are the fringe, the unknown and as stated earlier, Quacks to many. Why? Because the media is controlled by advertising and we don't have the advertising dollars and the laws would prohibit it other than the most bland statements. In the past people that posted to this list were chastised for not being more aggressive alternatively or for seeking any form of conventional care. We can be too elitist just like religionists that believe 'they have the truth' and you don't. The ice-cream advice given to cancer patients is common and I watched my neighbor eagerly drinking his thick-shakes because his swallowing was so painful due to radiation. It's milk, it's what they've been telling us is good food most of anyone's life. said it best a few posts back and I don't think Oncologists do it always knowing what they are doing. I believe most of them don't have a clue about food or nutrition. I would not have responded in the first place except I know that some people will chastise some poor soul that might say what we think is terrible and instead of chastising, we should make positive suggestions that we might not come off elitist and turn someone off. Guest guest
I have a sister in law who says I have seen people try alternative, and they die shortly after. I told her that they mostly have been doing conventional and then when they are about to die they try alternatives after it is too late. One of the companys I buy vitamins from has been arrested by the ftc for putting out alternative cancer information and they are fighting but they are in trouble. Ron is trying to bring some bills that will stop that. People should write and call their congress people and tell them to help with the bills. Thanks, Robyn
