Guest guest
Ira, do you have gallstones? Do you take any form of natural nutritional supplements or herbs. Do you always have to have your stringent set of questions answered to your satisfaction before you will try something? Many of your questions regarding Triphala such as research, proof that it works, its interaction with other herbs etc, may or may not be available. Wouldn't it be ideal if every herb, vitamin and mineral had this type of back up research! Ayurveda is a very old health system, TRIPHALA could actually be classed as a food, as it made up of 3 different berries all with therapeutic actions. I suppose I should have researched all my references, book titles, for the more forensic amongst us, and listed them. I am sure if you search long enough you will find what you want to know. It may be anyway that science has not examined TRIPHALA but thousands of indians who imbibe TRIPHALA very regularly are still alive and kicking, and there are no reports of deaths from taking TRIPHALA. All foods have a chemical activity in the body, and herbs can also be classed as foods, but yes we must be careful some herbs can react with certain drugs, and these are things that do need to be researched. However personally I believe with TRIPHALA your best bet would be to try it, I don't think you will die from apoplexy! No offense meant Ira in this posting, but I would hate for you to miss out. Oh and I don't sell Triphala! Regards Anne

No. Only those that humans take in the hope of *improving* their health. >Ayurveda is a very old health system, TRIPHALA could actually be >classed as a food, as it made up of 3 different berries all with >therapeutic actions. Where? And more interesting, why does it not bother you to be lacking such basic information? >It may be anyway that science has not examined TRIPHALA but thousands >of indians who imbibe TRIPHALA very regularly are still alive and >kicking, and there are no reports of deaths from taking TRIPHALA. Where have you looked for such reports? Do you read the medical literature? Do you read popular Indian health columns? > All foods have a chemical activity in the body, and herbs can also > be classed as foods, but yes we must be careful some herbs can react > with certain drugs, and these are things that do need to be researched. Don't you want to know that every single thing you put in your mouth is safe???!!! > However personally I believe with TRIPHALA your best bet would be to > try it, I don't think you will die from apoplexy! Very funny! >No offense meant Ira in this posting, but I would hate for you to miss >out. Oh and I don't sell Triphala! Miss out on what? But I appreciate your good wishes, if not your lack of caution.
