Guest guest
Hi Joe, Thank you for the information on calcium D glucarate. I will look into it. What stage was the cancer when they did find it? How is she today. and what did she end up doing and taking. all in all. Interesting background which is essentially my daughter-in- law's. A vegetarian since ten years old but a big soy eater. Soy burgers etc.... Certainly did not stop her from getting breast cancer discovered weeks after a Mammogram missed it as well as the Gynecologist' s expert hands. I also remember one of our favorite list members suggesting she use Calcium D-Glucorate which I hope she is using regularly. Thanks for the info Arlyn, Joe C. Guest guest
My son and daughter-in-law simply did not have the staying power to embrace Alternative practices and the practitioner smartly backed off when their responses indicated a more conventional outlook. My daughter-in-law had a double mastectomy which has devastated her psychologically. She was a very shapely and attractive young woman and feels assaulted. That was followed by Chemotherapy for almost a year when one adds in the Herceptin. The cancer was stage II and she is in 'remission' as far as tests show for about three years now. However we know the " we got it all " statement is arrogance because there are millions of cells involved and how many are visible when they start growing. That is when we hope our immune systems can deal with what is possibly circulating through our system but even the immune system has been assaulted by the treatments she had. To add to her history, back in December '07 both she and my wife were in a terrible auto accident and our daughter-in-law lost her spleen except for a tiny bit they re-attached in the hopes it would regenerate. She has had four operations to repair the damage done as well as a failed surgery. However anyone studying cancer knows that three and four years, while better than no years, is not 100% indicative of long term survival. We'll take all we can get! She does 'lean' a bit towards alternative but just does not know enough. She took the advice given her re D-Glucorate and takes a number of supplements we know are generally good for health. She has not had a six month period of nothing medical and needs that. Joe C.
