Best type of water to drink?

I have been committed to distilled water because I had been told and believe/d

that it is the best type of water to drink. Now I've read in a few places that

distilled water is the WORST type to drink, that it leeches minerals from your

body, etc.

Besides alkaline, which is not in my price range at this time, what type of

water is best? Purified, spring or distilled - or other?

I have heard recommended placing a pinch of unrefined sea salt into your

glass of distilled water so as to appropriately replace minerals lost in the

distillation process. What do you reckon?

Another way is taking 12 grains of organic brown rice, pound it and put in your

8 oz glass of water and let it steep overnight. You can use this in a pitcher

of water at above ratio. You will see that the next morning the grains have

somewhat fermented with some bubble on top. To me it does not taste at all,

however, if you leave it around for another half a day, then it will have

fermentation taste. This is good for those who are sodium sensitive like some

hypertensives.

What is good for you...the fermented stuff on top? the water? Has the water

soaked up some b-vitamins or something? What mineral does rice give to water

that is a mineral depleted from distilled water? Why would fermented water be

good? Wondering.

Deborah H,

My replies are below your questions.

>

D: What is good for you...the fermented stuff on top?

M: No, i skim the fermented stuff, actually bubbles on top of the water the

moment i wake up. I transfer the water after straining to remove the bits of

rice. Then i drink the strained water.

D: Has the water soaked up some b-vitamins or something? What mineral does

rice give to water that is a mineral depleted from distilled water?

M: I don't know the answer to this. The method was given in two health

groups where i belong. I do know that brown rice has vitamin B if the husks are

not totally removed.

Why would fermented water be good? Wondering.

I don't think it is the fermentation that helps but the vitamins imparted by the

brown rice. Maybe fermentation is only to aid in imparting the vitamins. >
