Most people on lists, such as this, often mail privately and that is much better

than 5 or 6 in a row one-liners. The list is a public, not a private forum and

it is easy to determine when one is writing an essentially private response or a

'thank you' which should go privately.

Many of us are on Moderate Status and each one needs to be looked at.

I am surprised the moderator has not 'kicked in' because the list instructions

are that we should not mail more than six posts a day. Maybe their being less

strict during the Holidays.
