Guest guest
Dr. Schultz's NERVE TONIC may help. It cured my carpel tunnel. Doctors wanted to cut me open and I went for the nerve tonic--so happy I did and I no longer have any nerve damage. Guest guest
Hopefully someone a lot more sophisticated will address this, however, it has been reported that ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) seems to be effective with Neuropathy. I have a version of neuropathy that is not chemo initiated and the ALA does seem to help. What I read, and I believe it was from Leonard on this list, was that it takes upwards of 2,400 mgs spread out during the day. I take that much. Joe C. I completed the full course of Folfox and ended up with an ongoing neuropathy in my hands and legs. My left leg and foot is mainly affected and I`ve tried several medications to help alleviate the discomfort. Nothing seems to work. I was just wondering if anyone out there has had this problem and found a remedy for at least lessening the discomfort. I have been thinking of trying accupuncture. I also have been wondering if any particular vitamins could help. I recenting started taking B-complex but it has only been a week so I haven`t experienced any relief yet. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Guest guest
My Mom also has horrible pain from Neuropathy. I went searching this morning for natural pain remedies. Here's some links I found this morning that mostly agree with the Life Extension article, plus a few more suggestions. Remedies for Severe Neuropathy http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/neuropathy.html TURMERIC - Earthclinic 10/04/2010: T Byrd from Milan, Tennessee writes: " I am a caregiver for my 93 year old mother who has neuropathy. I started giving her turmeric for hip pain (cured it 2 diferent times). I ran out and it was 12 days before I could get anymore. I hadn't noticed before I ran out, but, after it got out of her system, she started complaining about her legs numerous times during the day. It dawned on me that she had not been complaining so much of late. Once I got her back on the turmeric, she stopped having the complaints. She hurts in the morning when she first gets up, then virtually none afterward. I give her 2-500 mg a day. I take 3 a day as it greatly helps my arthritis. " One person recommended - TRANSDERMAL MAGNESIUM THERAPY Nigari Flakes provides this and very cheap. http://www.naturalimport.com/inc/sdetail/6922 http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/diabetic_neuropathy.html Neuropathy Natural Remedies http://herbs.lovetoknow.com/Neuropathy_ Testimonial " I use time released alpha lapoic acid -2400 mg per day, 400mcg of chromium picolinate per day, and gamma linolenic acid found in omega 6 fatty acid, found in borage oil or evening primrose oil around 400 mg per day. This helps rebuild the mylon sheath. (protective covering around your nerve endings) Also purchase a juicer and juice EVERY day! Do your research and find out how to do a whole body cleansing to detox yourself. You can get the suppliments at any healthfood store. It made a drastic change in me when I done all this! -
Guest guest
Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions.....as I said,I am so grateful to be in remission but the neuropathy is now interfering with my job. I am an R.N. and it`s getting more and more difficult to be on my feet all day. It has also interfered with me being physically active. Appreciate all the input and will look into everything suggested. I will let you all know how things are going. Thanks again,
