Guest guest
I believe what the dentist said might be truth but I read that the best way of getting any type of treatments in any one's mouth is to find a holistic dentist because they always use other alternatives with no side effects. My best advise is to consult a holistic dentist, even though they are more expensive, but if you have dental insurance, it might cover 70% of the treatment. From: marjij@... On a dentist's website sometime ago the dentist warned people not to have their teeth whitened as the peroxide caused weakening of the enamel and eventually the teeth would be damaged as well as darkened again. The dentist has since passed on so we can't argue with him or pick his brain anymore. He said this information came from a chemist's lab trials, rather than just his opinion. Does anybody know anything about this? Can any of you recommend a type of treatment that is better than any others? There is the kind that is just a gel you use with a mouth tray... or there is the kind that is done by the dentist using the gel and a light for an hour. Anybody have opinions? Do those bright teeth we see on TV come from just the " light " treatment, or do they have a special method that we don't hear about? Any comments? Please. Guest guest
my dentist uses Ozone and light to whiten - no chemicals but I live in Argentina and I am unaware of anyone in US using Ozone for that purpose. Guest guest
The ozone and light sounds like a good alternative for teeth whitening, but if you google it in the US (your town and State) you might find it. Just google dentists that uses ozone and light for teeth whitening. Then let us know if you find it. From: meredithbw@... Guest guest
One toothpaste I've used and really been suprised by its whitening ability is called Auromere Ayurvedic Herbal Toothpaste. I'm using the Cardamom-Fennel/ also called Non-Foaming. Here's its features I copied from a website. * Pure and natural * Concentrated: lasts 3 times longer * 23 special herbal extracts for optimum care of teeth and gums * Recommended for sensitive teeth * Super tooth whitener I wish it did foam a bit more but I like the taste of it, no stinging mint stuff and the taste is like a light licorice or Anise flavor which I really like. Its a pleasing flavor and very mild. All of the links below at have user reviews. Auromere Herbal Toothpaste Cardamom-Fennel/Non-Foaming (No SLS) Vitacost - http://bit.ly/dDcL3Q iherb - http://bit.ly/bd45eE All flavors of Auromere - Probably do best price-wise at iherb if ordering just 1-2 items. Shipping is cheap under 1 lb (about $2 USA), $4.99 at Vitacost. Vitacost - http://bit.ly/dd54ia iherb - http://bit.ly/dbbB6s (I've tried Perio-Brite and did NOT like it) The other 3 flavors have Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (from Indian coconut oil) in them. The Cardamom-Fennel/Non-Foaming does not. Happy Whitening,
