Guest guest
The statement: " If you think something is going to work, it will. Conversely, if you are convinced that something won't work, it won't. " is fine to use in a general sense but hardly absolute. The cemeteries are full of people that believed Chemotherapy, Surgery, and Radiation would keep them alive just as many that thought their Alternative ways would--but didn't. Of course having a positive attitude does seem to be better than being negative but to the extent it cures serious cancer? I think about when I was really 'pounding' the cancer by using a well-hyped Glyconutrient heavily. I really felt good about it....................then I had a recurrence. ?? There is ample evidence that many people that die while undergoing conventional treatments would have lived as long, or longer, doing nothing at all. Dealing with cancers and within a certain time period, five years for example, often results in misleading results. We often read of the excitement with people's tumors shrinking while doing Chemotherapy or Radiation and yet their physician does not admit to them this 'response' may have nothing to do with survivability. My neighbor, more than five years into his Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) is now dealing with Mets to a couple of new areas and he felt very secure because, " they caught it early and got it all " .........except for the mets. What arrogance we experience when a surgeon or Oncologist says, " we got it all " . Millions of cancer cells could be in the body and they have the gall to say " we got it all " ? How many cancer victims are told that the biopsy they are about to receive can, and often does, result in 'seeding' of cancer cells into the Lymph system thereby creating an environment for Metastasis? I know of nobody ever told this fact though my Urologist admitted I was correct when I brought up the subject. 40+% of the people supposedly being cured via the Placebo effect is almost half the cancer patients. I question whether almost 50% of cancer patients are being cured under any circumstances and especially because of the placebo effect. Might there be a high percentage of 'cures' in other than cancer situations? Of course there might be and not necessarily because of the placebo effect but rather because the body is always trying to survive and does one heck of a job in spite of us. Many of us live until old ages in spite of horrendous eating habits. The greatest success of the Allopathic system is that 'Most Diseases are Self Limiting'. In many cases, many that die, might have lived and lived a long life if left alone. My aunt, 100 two months ago, lives a typical Italian life-style but what she doesn't do is............go to the doctor. When asked about a Pap Smear she asked, " what's that? " . Joe C.
