Guest guest
I have not read or posted for some time... Howdy to Vince...good news from your body, happy for your continued improvement and attack MO. For those new to my story: briefly, now 8 years post colorectal cancer with 5 years ago mets to right lung. I'm still here, in remission, but have issues postsurgical lung. Well, nobodies perfect! My thoughts on diet alkaline vs. acid etc; Diet is important just because you need to nourish the body. What you eat pretty much shows up in how you feel, how you heal, and how well you stay. It varies from individual to individual. This comes from someone who was raised vegetarian, began eating meat at 19 due to being pregnant and horribly anemic..yup, don't kid yourself beans and rice are still not a complete protein/iron source. Veggies alone won't give you all the amino acids you need to stay reasonably healthy...but hey, you might feel better!...for a while. You can take supplements, get IV's even of amino acids and any vita-mineral you think will help, or an ad in the healthfood magazine or store or on the web says will reverse DNA degradation. You can pee and poo the most expensive material your sewage treatment plant has ever processed, but it's only half the battle! Maybe less than half. It's the mind and if you're a believer in a God, it's the soul, all the forces that animate your body and mind have to be mustered to fight and survive cancer!!! Loved your comment on the wisdom of reversing age, yup youth, while wasted on the young, just may not be the solution to being healthy! The hormones that animate you in your youth are still going to turn your heart and mind into turmoil again. Loved the Dorian Gray reference...people need to know the story to understand this one. You can heal on lemonade, (See the reversing prostate cancer in 90-days book), you can heal on macrobiotics (been there, done that until I dropped so much weight I couldn't make new white blood cells)you can heal on alkaline water, it's all the luck of the draw! Oh..I won't get me started...just try not to place all of your " hope-eggs " in one basket. Every day is a miracle, and some less miraculous...but be aware that the fight is in your heart and mind. Endurance isn't easy, or it wouldn't be endurable. There are rip-offs galore when it comes to health and healing, ask who's behind the multi-level market, you'll discover that you can have Alkaline water with a simple filter on your RO unit, plus adding another filter that delivers mineral solids...cost $200. (original cost for RO unit under sink $300, 10 years ago)We use a fancy digital probe from a store that supplies " hydroponics " products (guess what those folks are growing?)to check the Ph of the water. What's a Kangen cost...ha, 4K. Rediculous, but it does talk to you, I know this because my alternative doc has one,,,what a laugh, for four grand you should get a lot more than a silly alien-sounding voice telling you your water is Kangen 9.5! What do I eat, salads, 4 onces or less of animal protein daily (wallet sized-organic or free range, yogurt, flax oil, wonderful lemon-flavored fish oil certified from very little fish who's lifespan is to short to accumulate as much toxins as their older relatives, P5P, Calcium-d-Glucarate, IP6, Strontium Calcium, MSM, and lots of other expensive supplements that may or may not be doing me a lot of good. AND...I am still getting 75 grams of Vit. C IV now twice a month. One thing for sure...I feel good, and that's what matters. The cavity in my chest left from two poorly done cancer removal surguries(the 2nd cancer that got me a Stage IV Dx.) and infestation by an opportunistic fungus called Aspergillous is shrinking, and hey..I play autoharp, sing, and truly love life! All the matters that make you into who you are and want to be...those are the essences that you need to grow and feed with whatever works for your condition. Keep searching, but try not to be taken in by " Snake-oil " , it's give snakes a bad name. Dr. K
