Guest guest
GB, When I finished radiation March 4th, I was so thin you could possibly see my skeleton if I walked past a window. The radiologist told me that in his experience those patients who do the best are those who pig out and eat, eat, eat. I don't argue with clinical observations; I will argue theory or indoctrination. I asked him what he recommended. He said anything: ice cream, french fries. I thought this was quite funny. Of course I would not go that crazy. I just ate a good diet, one that the rest of the family would eat. This meant non-vegetarian, mostly organic, heavy on the vegetables, anything sweet or fried would be a limited Q.O.L. rarity. [Quality of life] I gained weight at a rate of about 5 lbs per month. My appetite was ravenous. The diet was a healthy diet. It nourished me and to some extent nourished the cancer. There was a balance involved. I had to restore my health for the fight to come and I knew that if I became too aggressive in fighting the cancer I would end up with a necrotic ulcer in the side of my rectum. I wanted the cancer to go, but at a pace of my choosing and by a mechanism of my choosing. I was determined to avoid the devastating surgery that the oncologists were pushing me to do immediately. So far I have succeeded very well with my plan. Anyone who saw me at the Cancer Control Society conference would see that I appeared as healthy as in past years. My plan was for me. Were it not for the rectal issue it certainly would have been far more strict. My diet would have been far less healthy. It would focus in on a " wedge issue " type regimen in which I would have maintained at least minimal health for everything but the cancer, but would have focused on completely destroying the cancer as quickly as possible. It is not a fun solution as you stay quite weak for a couple of months. You can do this with higher grade cancers. You can't do this with low grade cancers. Such a protocol can work well with quercetin and hyperthermia. At 11:59 AM 9/5/2010, you wrote: > > > > From this post it does not seem like you have much faith in diet as > a therapy. Guest guest
I thought this is what you menat. Glad to hear you are doing much better. What do you mean by higher and lower grade cancers? How fast they grow? Thanks GB > > GB, > > When I finished radiation March 4th, I was so thin you could possibly > see my skeleton if I walked past a window. Guest guest
, Just wondering - what made you try the radiation and chemo combination? While, I know you are totally into organics - I find your story very interesting and many have learned a great deal from you. Thank you in advance. > > > > > > > > From this post it does not seem like you have much faith in diet as > > a therapy. I am not talking about a " rabbit diet " .
