Where does that knowledge come from? I would like to check that out, since I now have a breast cancer case in the family. Thank you >> > I've read on the Sloan Kettering website that red clover acts as a phytoestrogen therefore should not be used. However, flaxseed is also a phytoestrogen and we all know it is great for breast cancer. Can anyone shed light on this. Are the allopathic guys skewing stats or is there a real argument in not using sence with the Red Clover. > > Thanks! > > Louise >
Guest guest
Flaxseed is good for breast cancer. I posted websites but don't know what happened to that message. I was dx in Jan/08 and refused allopathic treatment. One item that I am pretty sure was responsible for shrinking tumors was Artemix which I purchased from hepalin.com. I use a Blendtec blender and blend high omega fish oil, flaxseed, greens powder and greens. if you can find a good tasting greens powder, this mixture actually tastes pretty good. You can google Dr. Singh & Dr. Lai & Artemisinin. Send them an email and they'll tell you the right way to take artemisinin. They recommend Artemix as they are not sure which Wormwood compound works. Tell her not to stress or to reduce stress and the entire family may have to get involved. The only 2 things I did different when the tumors shrank was the Artemix and stress reduction. Guest guest
There are no studies yet if the phytoestrogen in flaxseed has any effect on estrogen responsive breast ca as stated on the website breastcancer.org but one doctor says there since its has phyoestrogen to not take anything that has phytoestrogen i guess to be on the safe side .Being on the safe side is better since it realy hs structure similar to estrogen and er positive tumors rely on this. My mother is normal with her cancer markers after debulking of her tumor and femara treatment ( a study in uk says femara has extended the life of their patients with er positive tumors ) she takes in omega 3 , agaricus and ganoderma, coq10, b complex vitamins. I don't know but I hope her tumor markers stays normal for the next months to come with God's mercy. On Fri, 7/17/09, missnoname37 wrote: Flaxseed is good for breast cancer. Guest guest
I would beg to differ. Flaxseed has anti cancer effects on breast tissue and there have been studies related to breast cancer and flax seed. Here's the website: http://www.flaxcouncil.ca/english/pdf/Flax_FSht_Lignans08_R2.pdf Here's the study with the flaxseed muffins: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/1061885.stm I don't hesitate to add flax to my diet every day. I put it in green smoothies in my Blendtec blender.
