Guest guest
That's wonderful of you to post your recommendations Leonard. They're great and very helpful to all of us. There are alterations that should be noted though, speaking as one now recovered from estrogen and progesterone positive breast cancer. It's imperative for those like me with estrogen positive cancers to NOT eat foods that contain natural estrogens, and to make sure they eat those foods that block estrogens. On your list, BEETS, apples, brown rice and some others contain high levels of estrogen (not to mention the natural sugars and high glycemic index of all 3). There's a very good web site that has a simple list of foods that contain natural estrogens and foods that block estrogens. It's http://www.holisticonline.com/Remedies/hrt/hrt_food_and_estrogen.htm It should also be highlighted that all animal flesh, particularly red meat and any domestically raised animals or fish contain the highest levels of estrogens. Making the estrogens list into a serious part of my diet took me from an off the chart estrogen dominant body to menopausally low levels of estrogen without Tamoxifen in 3 months. This included the taking natural supplements like DIM and 2 others as well to balance hormones and bring the estrogens down. Thank you for taking the time to post your great list, and for helping us all. Barbara
