Guest guest
" I am not a drug. " -- Mr. Ping Pong In my previous message I mentioned tossing a pinch into the blender with water, then adding more water to the " same " valerian through the day, maybe adding another pinch and maybe not. In other words, the size of a ping pong ball for the entire day. You can find information about the use of valerian in just about any good herb book. It is classified as " generally safe " . Whoever said I was taking " handfuls " every 5 minutes was sure on some (medical) drugs! Not that it would bother anyone but they'd probably choke, since valerian is a root and wouldn't be all that easy to chew. I also mentioned regularly tossing purslane (my favorite), flat leaf parsley, oregano, in addition to valerian, and drinking them with my usual gallon a day of water. Well this was compared by someone to taking opium, since opium (they said) is also a food and a herb. Weird! And someone said valerian isn't safe because Costco doesn't sell it any more. Well I used to get bags of celery from Costco and they stopped carrying celery. I suppose now we're supposed to presume they did that because celery is a drug or some mind boggling hallucinogenic drug, kind of like valerian, or like carrots and parsley, or oregano. Whatever else will be next? How opium gets to be a food, and valerian is all of a sudden some medically magical substance that will transform you into some kind of a genius, like me I suppose, is amazing. Just more examples of the medical hocus pocus two steps that try to keep people from doing that is good for them and instead loading them up with more drugs. The problem with such advice is it keeps some people from using naturally growing plants that could be very helpful to them. > From: JayTownsend@... > Subject: Ephedra > taking body-building supplements that included ephedra, and he had a stroke. At age 22. For people who think that herbs are " food " - think again. At this time, the government isn't even allowing warning labels to be put on products that contain this drug, yet the FDA has wanted to do so for 2 years. Since when are body building supplements considered to be either herbs or foods. However, there have been millions of people who have been to doctors and taken conventional medical advice, then had strokes. See the connection? > It isn't the pharmaceutical industry or the medical community who is causing all this delay. Don't suppose that the " alternative medicine supplement " world has political clout, do you? You say the medical community isn't causing delay, then you say the medical world has political clout. Everyone knows or should know (just take a look around) how powerful the medical/pharmeceutcal industrial drug cartels are in this country, and all over the world. Medicine is medicine and drugs are drugs. Drugs and medicines are not foods. You'd think all this would be obvious except these bogus medical industries are trying to make all foods into drugs so they can own them all. So we'd have to go to them and give them whatever little else they might think we own just to try to keep living and breathing. Since they will have gotten rid of everything else. What a shame. I did enjoy the information about garlic and now and then have been tossing garlic cloves (in the blender) into the water I drink. Regarding the comments about garlic helping to get rid of radiation, many filling materials are full of radiation and there is NO regulation of this. I had a discussion with a supposedly very knowledgeable dentist and he had no idea how to measure the radiation in the people's mouths he was putting it into. Perhaps garlic can serve to provide some protection from the ongoing onslaughts to our health.
