Guest guest
Hi Karma, Are you saying that the original Oxycisor is a very good machine? They are still available from The Shopping Channel in Toronto, for under $99.00 Canadian funds. You are right, it has another name, but they still sell it. Last time I saw the demo, it was approximately $89.00 canadan funds. For those of you in the USA, this is a steal with the USD. Mine works very well (when I use it). Has a hand held timer. Is there any problem with useing this at night? Sometime before bed? I don't want to be energised when I need to sleep. Sandy > Hi Sandy, > I use mine twice a day. 15 minutes each. Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Yes, it does the same thing as the more expensive machines. The problem with it is that it is made very cheaply and will wear out much faster than the better quality machines. Some of them are made with plastic gears instead of metal ones. Plastic wears out much quicker. I use mine first thing in the morning, and again right before bed. I see no problem with using it at night. You will need to pay attention to your reaction to times. Everyone is different. I say, if you have it, use it!!!! ~Karma http://loaves-n-fishes.com http://www.karma.awarenesshealth.com chi machine > > > Hi everyone, > > I've had an oxycisor in my bedroom for two years and haven't used > it. Guest guest
I have an oxyflow machine and I use it at night before going to bed. I think it helps me to relax. The only problem I have is that, being a large woman, I have to do one leg at a time because the ankle holders are set too closely together for me to comfortably do both legs at the same time. Guest guest
My wifw often wakes up around 4 AM and has a hard time going back to sleep. She has started using the chi machine at such occasions and find it an almost 100% successful sleep aid. After using it for about 15 minutes she feels relaxed and able to sleep again. moldovansandy@... wrote: > Hi everyone, > > I've had an oxycisor in my bedroom for two years and haven't used > it. Guest guest
Hi Kate, A Chi Machine is a machine that you put your ankles on as you are laying on your back. The machine shakes your ankles back and forth. Here is a link that has a lot of information on them. http://loaves-n-fishes.com/ChiMachine.shtml I heard about them for about four years before I decided to try it. At first I thought I had finally found the stupidest idea yet. But, now it is the one gadget that I have that both myself and my highly skeptical husband use daily. He usually just chuckles at the stuff I do, yet this one he uses too. I use the Chi machine to shake my body. It seems to really clean the colon well as it shakes. Guest guest
Hi all and Doris, I'm new to the group. I've had ME for 12 years now. I've been using a chi machine now for 1 and 1/2 years, and I couldn't do without it. It helps reduce exercise induced muscle pain and I can walk a bit further, also helps energy levels. Its very very oxygenating and it wasn't long before I could hold my breath for much much longer. Its helped my spine also as it gives a spinal massage. I couldn't do without it. Its a good way of relaxing also. I know of someone else with ME who has improved on one. Its not a cure though. There's a neurologist in Sheffield advising lots of people with neurological conditions to use them. There's a hospital in Australia using them for treating lymphoedema. It gives a powerful lymphatic drainage. But be warned, I started detoxing very rapidly and could only use the machine for 1 min a day at first, much less than recommended, otherwise I would have detoxed too fast. I had to take extra detox supplements for a while. It took me one year to build up to 10 min twice a day. It is advertised as an " aerobic exerciser " which is really a very bad description as you don't actually do any proper exercise as such. This description could easily be misinterpreted by us MEs who can't do aerobic exercise as it makes us worse. What it does is it gives you the amount of oxygen you would have received had you been doing aerobic exercise. 15 mins on the chi machine is said to give you similar benefits as you would get walking for 90 min. One website is www.thechimachine.co.uk Hope this is helpful, Carol > Has anyone ever tried one of these and had improvement? In general it sounds dumb to me, I would say to someone " get some exercise. " But since we can't exercise without getting worse, I can philosophically see that it would be good to move the blood and lymphatic fluid. But maybe even a slow walk around the block does the same thing? > Thanks, > Doris > >
Guest guest
Hi, Glad to hear someone is doing well on the Chi Machine. For anyone considering buying one, I'd suggest you try it out first to see if you can cope with it. In Australia, they offer loan machines for this purpose. I've had a Sun Ancon Chi Machine for about 5 years and was happy using it before my relapse of CFS/FM. The way it works, you lie down with your feet in the grooves and the machine moves your legs from side to side. After my relapse of CFS/FM I found that this put too much strain on my knees and caused considerable knee pain. A friend with lupus reported the same problem. Guest guest
Hi Edith, Which type chi machine do you own? J. Re: Re: Herx/neuropathy Gail, I have one for my fatigue and got my 82 yr old Mom one (I'm a distributor) because her legs were so weak. We parked in the handicapped area at Wal Mart and by the time she shuffled into the door, she had to sit down. Sometimes she didn't shop because she couldn't walk. I just picked her up off the bench on my way out. Now she goes shopping by herself and even bought her a new cook stove last week so she could help prepare more food more Thanksgiving. What a change. We did have to put it on a board on her extra bed so she could use it easier. When you use one of these machines, it floods the bronchioles with oxygen and then the body has to deal with all that extra oxygen so it opens up the veins and arteries greatly increasing circulation. I truly hope your husband has as much success as Mom. It has also helped her to connect her thoughts and words together. Before she had a very hard time expressing herself and 2 doctors said she was suffering from dementia but she much, much better now. Guest guest
Hi , When I first heard of Chi machines one of the stories (I never tried to confirm it) being bandied about was that a doc used the techniqie with some kind of heart emergency while waiting for paramedics....instead of CPR. Kind of a fishtail action. And of course it worked ;-) SaraLou chi machine Hi, I have a few things to report re the chi machine. I read everything that everyone had to say about what the machine could do and the potential problems with copies and started thinking (always gets me into trouble). My husband is a diabetic, perhaps not so any longer but 2 months ago his sugar was in the 500's and he nearly didn't survive. A series of antibiotics and antifungals slammed this problem but he was left with neuropathy and muscle wasting, impaired circulation, foot drop, etc, etc. So, I'm looking at the specs of this machine thinking, we don't have the money, how do I know it's going to do anything, and finally thought, I can wiggle feet like that. So, I had him lay down on the couch and I sat at the opposite end, propped his legs up into my hands and tried to catch the right rhythm back and forth. I had to describe why this might do something, started to describe the anatomy of the lymphatics and cerebral spinal fluid pump and he jumped in and said oh, it improves circulation by improving the return end of the circuit. Uh, I guess so. My report is that it made his legs hurt (better than numb) after about two minutes which was about all the muscle I had doing that movement while supporting his legs. The next morning, muscle control to lift the feet had returned noticeably after being absent for a long time. I'm going to try to keep this up for short periods twice a day and will make further reports if anyone is interested. Now I'm pondering how to connect heater coils to the back of dinner plates and mount them in a dome.
Guest guest
Oh , you are toooooo funny. Suggestion on the foot wiggling thing. Optimum height of the legs is important. Eight to ten inches is good. Also the wiggle. Lots of study on that. You have to remember that alot of research went into the developement of this little unit. It was found that wrong heights and wrong speeds affect the blood pressure. Their is a window of height and speed and distance that is profitable. You might consider a padded board set over a basket ball or coffee can or something round the gets his feet to the right height that you can put his ankles on and then push the thing back and forth briskly. It could be less tiring than what you are doing, I think. also the rate of back and forth movements is about 140, twice that of the average heart rate. Much faster or slower has also shown to alter bp in a not good way. You can go quite slow and it won't be a problem but if you are in the 110 range or 160 range it can upset the heart. The man who worked this all out is a medical doctor with over 40 years of oxygen therapy experienced. Treated over one hundred thousand people with oxygen. And he and his colleagues spent alot of time testing the height, width of swing and speed of swing and found that the wrong ones did cause problems. And all those numbers are now patented, which is why the copies just don't work as well. Okay. I said all that to say this, the lifting of the ankles and moving them side to side is an aknowledged, effective massage treatment. It even has a special name which I cannot recall right now. And it is safe, mostly because no one could possibly do it long enough to cause problems by doing it improperly. Dr. Inoue (In oo ay) has saved the lives of some people who went into cardia arrest in public by just lifting their ankles and swinging them vigorously side to side. It really is remarkable and soooo simple. That is part of what I love about it. 15 minutes on the chi machine is approximately equal to a 90 minute brisk walk, as far as getting the metabolism going and upping oxygen levels and burning calories. That alone can do amazing things for people. Like may dad who says he as two speeds, 'slow and stop'. He doesn't do anything in a brisk manner, so he loves the invigoration he experiences on it. Anyway, good job. Let us know how the hot plates work. Guest guest
Phil, When I started treatment a year ago I was sooooo bad off and FULL of toxins that the LLMD told me to only do 2 minutes a day and drink a glass of water before and after. I would feel HORRIBLE about 20 minutes later - classic die-off with achiness and fever. And it would last the rest of the day. Yesterday I did 4 minutes. I felt yucky but not like before so I'm slowly going up on my time. I'm so bad about not doing it every day though. I still can't excercise so this is my only lymph movement since the lymph massages were so expensive for us. Anyway, just my opinion.... if you feel bad later then you've maybe overdone it and maybe try less time next time. You have to judge how you feel. I don't mind feeling a little worse because I know the toxins are moving out, but too much and I can't function, so somewhere there's a balance. Hope this helps, Beth [ ] Chi Machine I have a chi machine I bought years ago to help with lymphatic drainage. I stopped using ti but have resumed using. Does anyone know how long it should be used? Guest guest
Beth The effects are supposed to be different depending upon the position of the arms as follows: arms stretched above head:muscle tension, weight loss, nervous pressure, shoulder tendonitis arms under head; migraines, sore back, arthritis, bone spurs, spine alignment arms at sides: constiaption, insomnia, internal organ discomfort, mood balancing Hope this helps. Guest guest
The reason I bought a Chi machine was because of a testimony of somebody healing their neuropathy by doing it 15 minutes 3 times daily. My husband has neuropathy in his feet. He doesn't do it that long or that often, nor has it healed his neuropathy, but it has helped to control his blood sugar. gail -- In oxyplus , " gypsy rose " <gypsy___rose@...> wrote: > > Question - > The Chi Machine would be good for someone who suffers Neuropathy in left leg > and who has been getting electrical stimulation treatments from their > doctor, right? Guest guest
Hi , First of all, I want to tell you that I am so very glad to meet you!!! I wish you much success with your Life Lift program. You will be hearing a lot from me on this really wonderful Life Lift group list, as I am always posting and saying how much I love Rashelle and Life Lift. Rashelle is always calling me her adorable little cheerleader, and that's really what I love to be. That is what I love the best. Now, about chi machines. I have one that I seldom ever use. I used it a lot a few years ago when I first bought it, but it did not do much for me. In my opinion chi machines are very much overrated, but then I have only tried one brand and possibly did not use it enough to have let it have an impact on my body. I did not get any weight loss effect from using a chi machine at all, as it only worked my legs and feet and nothing else. Sorry to have given you a negative report on my experience with chi machines, or at least with the one I have, but I had to be honest with you. I really think that you will be wasting your money by spending it on a chi machine. If you want to lose weight, the BEST program that I could possibly recommend to you for that is Life Lift!!! There is no greater or more effective weight loss program than Life Lift, in my opinion. It is tops!!! Life Lift breathing is truly what I call WEIGHT LOSS FOR COUCH POTATOES, as it works just as well without Rashelle's wonderful Life Lift stretches and flexes as it does with them!!! I hope that what I have said is helpful to you, , and once again, a hearty welcome to you to our wonderful Life Lift group list. We are a really wonderful group of wonderful caring ladies, and we are all rooting for your Life Lift success!!! May God bless you always, my dear, sweet friend!!! Love always, Pat Chi Machine Hi, I'm new here but was wondering if any one has a Chi Machine? If so what do you think about it? Is it as good as they say it is? I've heard it's extremely healthy for you, helps oxyginate the body and helps you lose weight. I'm seriously thinking of buying one but need more input on whether it's worth the $500. Thank you for your help! ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for earth-friendly autos? Guest guest
Hello there and welcome to Lifelift. Have you started the Lifelift breathing yet? Regarding the Chi Machine; YES by all means, in my opinion it is well worth the money. It totally increases the oxygen within your body; speeds up the metabolism; has helped with the arthritis I have in my knees and does burn some calories. Which model were you looking at? One of our Lifelifters sells the Chi Machines and her website is: http://ahealthybody.net/hte/ChiMachine.shtml Laurie is a wonderful person and can answer any questions you may have in much more detail than I can. She has been in the Health industry for years. Enjoy! and again, welcome to Lifelift. Take care, Wanda. > > Hi, > I'm new here but was wondering if any one has a Chi Machine? Guest guest
Thank you Wanda for answering me about the Chi Machine! I am looking at the one by Sun Ancon/Sun Harmony. My friend has one and she swears by it. I just wanted to have some one other than the web site tell me if it's a good thing or not. I have done the LifeLift breath for a few years. I'm not always as dedicated as I could be tho. I will look on Laurie's site too. Thank you so much. winwithlifelift <winwithlifelift@...> wrote: Hello there and welcome to Lifelift.
