Guest guest
Verna, Tim was 's step-son.. she considered him " her own " but since she is 31 and he was 19.. I figured it would be more understandable if I explained that. I am so sorry that you lost your only child. I imagine it still hurts.. If YOU feel you would like to share it with her, please do. You can reach her at mailto:mayocountry@... As of now, is scheduled (unwillingly.. husband needs.. if you know what I mean) to go on vacation to the mtns of Tenn. leaving Sunday for about a week. is, though, going to rent a cabin instead of pulling the trailer up there, so with 3 kids ( (5 1/2) Brittany (3 1/2) and (1 1/2) it should be easier on her.. (sorry.. my GRANDKIDS.. had to brag a bit..) God Bless you, elaine PS.. I am sending this via the list so everyone has the information should they desire it. -----Original Message----- From: Verna [mailto:vabparrots@...] Sent: Wednesday, May 31, 2000 10:53 AM egroups Subject: Re: [ ] Elaine Elaine How old was your daughters son, I have a beautiful poem someone sent me 13yrs ago when I lost my only child, I would like to send this to you to see if its appropeate for her. Guest guest
Elaine I will send it to her and her husband, some one from another list is going to make it smaller for me to send. I'm new to computers and don't know how to do that. It really is a beautiful poem. I still read it today especially around holidays and his birthday, Verna > Verna, > Tim was 's step-son.. she considered him " her own " but since > she is 31 and he was 19.. Guest guest
I see that the piece you forwarded was also forwarded to " Ourmyositis@groups - do you have one of the myositises? My girlfriend was recently diagnosed with polymyositis - she's having a really rough time - they have her on 60 mg of Prednisone to get the inflammation down and it's not doing much. It took about 2-3 months to finally get a dx - first they told her she had RA. LaVina
Guest guest
Hi LaVina, No, I don't currently think that I have myositis. I did at one time and I have a good friend that does.. she and I co-moderate a fibromyalgia group, and I wanted to learn about the disease that she has been diagnosed with.. I have SOME KIND of inflammatory arthritis.. not sure which one it is, but since I am prednisone dependent from having been on it for asthma/allergies/chronic bronchitis and the resulting Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), I have increased my prednisone and " whatever " inflammatory arthritis I have is " under control " . EVENTUALLY, we will do more " exploration " to discover which disease I have, but my body sort of has to " rest " and heal from the recent surgeries.. and the probable upcoming surgery on my eyes. I am going to visit my daughter and her family in Mobile, AL for 7 weeks.. leaving here Feb 16, and returning April 8. I plan on visiting with (or at least talking to her on the phone, since she lives about 30 miles from where I will be staying).. I will ask her to keep you all updated on how I am doing.. I will be on " no mail " while I am gone. Anyone who wants to can reach me at: mailto:ela7777@... while I am gone. May God continue to provide you with a measure of strength, wisdom and peace. elaine -----Original Message----- From: Beveridge1406@... Guest guest
WEATHER REPORT:...... From the deep south. We are expected to be dry through out the week and temparature will range from low 60's to upper 70's in the daytime, with the nightime in the upper 30's to mid 40's. I noticed Saturday some Jonquils had sprouted to about 3 " to 4 " ; so they'll be blooming in a couple of weeks if we don't have a real cold spell. People will began to work up their gardens and flower beds if the ground dries a few days. Spring will be in the air....Easter is early this year. But I suppose Mr. Groundhog will give his prediction this next Saturday, February 2nd. Then we'll know what to expect. LOL May you all have a good week. Be Blessed, Becky
Guest guest
Becky, Wasn't it so beautiful today? We hit 70. This is the mildest winter I can ever remember. I wish all winters were so mild. My herb garden is still growing! It's next to the hot tub and the warmth has protected it from the few frosts we've had. With weather like this, I hope everyone has a wonderful week. a MaBeck742@... wrote: > WEATHER REPORT:...... From the deep south. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, neuropathy of the feet is a known side effect of Arava. You need to talk to your rheumatologist about this. I had the same thing happen to me. Guest guest
Elaine, On your dry eyes and sometimes blurry vision, have you been checked for a cataract? Also, dry eyes can be a lack of Vitamin A
