Celtic sea salt contains no iodine:

http://www.celticseasalt.com/PDF/CSSAnalysis-Jan2007.pdf

Salt (sodium chloride) loading has been tried in an effort to push

out the bromide anion. There is no way table salt can address the

issue of bromides such as those found in fire retardants, or those

that are already bound to human tissue. It is only mediocre at best

trying to address acute toxicity such as from potassium bromide

overdose. A 50 kg person contains about 20 teaspoons of salt. To

administer an additional 1/2 teaspoon above dietary intake is only a

2-1/2% increase and it will only slightly speed up detoxification of

soluble bromide anions that the body would normally capture or expel.

Most people consume too much sodium and not enough potassium. For

many people any increase in sodium has unwelcome health consequences.

, they are saying to use salt loading only in conjunction with iodine,

not by itself. And people doing it claim it helps to ease the detox symptoms.

Are you saying it's placebo effect?
