Guest guest
Howdy all. I really appreciate the good thoughts, prayers, well wishes, and kind words. If I had had time to write some of you with my questions I would have. The surgery went well. Although it took a little longer. 1 1/2 hours. I was told they would be checking the ducts to make sure they were clear. But, I never got to talk to the surgeon after. He talked extensively to my husband, but never came in to me and darnit I had questions, which I hope he can answer at my followup appointment. I saw the gallbladder and it looked much larger than I imagined, but I had barely woken up from the surgery and again no surgeon to ask questions. There was some throbbing at where my gb used to be but most of the pain has been from the gas they inflate you with. That has been horrible. Only tonight am I feeling a little relief. My recovery they say should be a week to two. I have kind friends and family bringing in meals, that I would not have touched only days ago. I have been very weak because I have not felt like eating, but am forcing myself and feel better even with things that will probably still not be a part of my regular diet. As I said before, once I can get in the kitchen and do for myself, I will be eating my new healthy diet and allow splurges on social events. It has been really wierd though, eating. I am afraid everything will hurt me because even the night before surgery when all I had to eat was zuchinni and broccoli, I had a very mild attack. The surgeon said my bile duct is enlarged, probably from all of the cleanses. I don't know that that is necessarily a bad thing. Anyway, I am glad this is all over. It didn't end how I wanted but it has ended. I asked alot of questions before I went under the knife and I felt less fearful about it. Here are my recommendations for gallbladder health if it counts anymore to anyone. This is a serious medical condition and you cannot just try a little cleanse there and take a little vitamins here and hope you will come out allright. Like DR Schulze says, the medical profession is going to come at you with knives and drugs and you have to go after your health in a serious way too. At least, become a vegetarian immediately. At best, do a thirty day juice fast. Or do two juicings a day and one light meal. Take milk thistle and peppermint oil every day. The one supports the liver, the other is reported to dissolve gall stones. I only took them for a month. Also take 2400mg of lecithin and 600 mg of taurine every day for as long as it takes. I did this the last six weeks. Do a five day cleanse every month. Do the liver gallbladder flushes every two weeks. I am still not convinced that all the stuff coming out is what it is claimed to be, but I do think they support and help the liver and gb. Use a green nutritional supplement like Barleygreen or Super Foods by Dr. Shulze for excellent nutrition and anti- inflammatory. I sell Barleygreen so it has been easy for me to have on hand, but I wasn't even completely faithful with that. Realize that God is in control of your life. After all of your efforts, it still may not come out (bad pun) as you hope, but He can still be there for you. There is a supposedly 95% success rate and if you do your homework and get a good surgeon, most likely you will never have a problem. It was a great relief to me after the surgery to find out that my surgeon repairs the botched surgeries of other sugeons. I think I was in good hands. My recovery is not complete, so I'll probably check in and let you know if I am fully functioning without my gb. Thanks for all the support.
