Guest guest
If I remember correctly, DMSO is a natural substance that has been approved by the FDA even, to treat Interstitial Cystitis. I don't recall all the details, but I'm sure if you google IS and DMSO you should find stuff on it. It's cheap, as I recall. I was looking at it as a delivery vehicle for other stuff, applied topically. Don't remember if there's an internal protocol. Worth a try. Fair warning - about the only side effect is that you may smell like garlic (made it really hard to do blind studies!  And if applied topically, it MUST be with very clean hands - it will transmit any toxin through the skin, so you don't want to be applying pesticide in your garden and then come in and apply this stuff to the skin....  To keep this on-topic, I recall that some people tried using DMSO in conjunction with chemo-radiation, and it helped in a couple of ways. Again, I'm recalling reading I did years ago, but I think it helped to reduce the amount of treatment needed, and maybe helped with the side effects. But please look it up if you're interested! I just don't remember enough to be relied on for info, and the books I read this in are packed for a move. While it is not cancer, it is such an inflammatory ailment and so painful to a dear women friend of mine I have hope that someone will respond with more than dietary information and that because this friend would probably resist anything more than a simple dietary improvement. I also believe there is an emotional aspect to this because flare-ups often come after a tension-filled time which probably brings out things we have more often than not. Joe C.
