Guest guest
In addition to what Mike said about Chemo and Markers, the doctors will fall back on any 'response' the tumor is exhibiting because of the Chemo and or radiation. In fact they actually herald this and have many of us excited over this 'Response' which is not necessarily related to survivability. Tumor markers and or tumor shrinkage do not always relate to survivability. I know I'm repeating myself, however I told my Urologist that I am not interested in Tumor Response but rather survivability. Additionally I explained to him that if my Immune System didn't eventually 'kick in' and handle the cancer cells, tumors would continue to come back................until I didn't. As a result I did allow the most commonly used Conventional Immunotherapy for Bladder Cancer while doing my own thing. Joe C.
