Guest guest
Considering our society's love of sweets and carbohydrates in general, I do not think there is a 'special' meaning to them serving bowls of sweets though one could come to the conclusion that there is giving thought to how they operate. In addition, these people do not have a clue about nutrition as is the case with most people. People in affluent societies always provide an over abundance of 'delights' without giving more than a cursory thought to sugar shock. Show me where sweets and carbs are not the most sought after food? It is a money-maker and is addictive. Every restaurant now features deserts to 'die for' and I use that expression because it fits. Watch the explosion in 'Winter ills' now that the kiddies have been sugar-shocked with Halloween Trick or Treat festivities over. The Flu season now goes into full throttle with less Sun and Vitamin D-3 and an intake of more and more carbs.
