Guest guest
, Just a comment or two on the term " organic non aluminum baking soda " ... From my research, you may be unwittingly paying more for a product that is cleverly labeled as you have described. This results from confusion between baking soda and baking powder, and the connection between aluminum and heath problems (e.g., Alzheimer's disease). There is no aluminum component in chemical make-up of sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda). See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_bicarbonate There may be an aluminum component in chemical make-up of baking powder. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baking_powder At least one prominent supplier of baking soda has jumped on this confusion, promoting its product as " aluminum free " and charging a higher price. It should also be noted that the use of the word " free " in such a product-advertising context may simply mean that the analytical method used was incapable of detecting whatever element or compound that the product is being advertised as " free " of. Also, read the information on this page: http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/baking_soda.html#ALUMINUM Noteworthy at this site is a comment that trace amounts of aluminum occur in mined sodium bicarbonate (and this likely true for all suppliers' products). Further information is available on the site for the book " Rich Man's Poor Man's Cancer Treatment 2nd Edition " by Marc Sircus, Ac., OMD. See: http://sodiumbicarbonate.imva.info/index.php/about-the-book/ In an associated page, Dr. Sircus writes specifically about the term " aluminum free " for two leading brands of baking soda. See: http://sodiumbicarbonate.imva.info/index.php/administration-methods/product-qual\ ity-and-cost/ Hopefully, this information will help keep more of interested readers' hard-earned money in their own pockets!
