Guest guest
The controversy over phytoestrogens is still raging 18 years after first getting breast in 1990 and 14 years after my terminal diagnosis. After spending a good part of the day trying to figure everything out,I found some very good links that gave me convincing evidence or at least strong opinions against taking certain strong phytoestrogens. I discovered that there are numerous people who are now on the estrogen dominance theme. *I will no longer take soy in any form (no, not even fermented nattokinase or other fermented soy products),except when the ONLY available vitamin supplement has soy lecithin in it (a waste product of soybean production, which is usually loaded with chemicals and pesticides unless it is listed as pesticide free, which is RARE or NEVER on supplements). I am not even going to take HealthForce Nutritionals pure Soy Lecithin. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7722188?dopt=Abstract *I will no longer take flax seeds in any form. See this link: http://www.highonhealth.org/why-chia-seed-is-a-healthier-option-than- flax-seed *I am going to watch my intake of carrots, chickpeas and other strong phytoestrogens, but realize that we can't avoid all phytoestrogens as most herbs and plants have them. But I will avoid the strongest ones. www.sensiblehealth.com/Journey-04.xhtml I appreciate everyone's opinions out there but as we all do, we listen to all the opinions, then we form ours, make our decisions and go from there. No whey, no soy, no flax seeds, especially flax seed oil, no soy in any form, except unavoidable waste-product soy lecithin in a few supplements. I am getting very wary of this estrogen dominance thing and time is marching on. " When in doubt, leave it out. " Experminentation is now over. Recovery is now where it's at.
