Dr Kobayashi in Tokyo does what could be one of the most extensive panel

of tests to try to detect cancer at an earlier stage than with image

screening. He calls it the Tumor Marker Combination Assay (TMCA).

The main components are the 10-20 or more tumor markers, other markers

and tests (such as calcium, iron etc) and immune activity. He tends to

select those that apply to each individual and add others as he feels

necessary.

This is his data sheet with most of the tests he does on it.

We had this test done initially about 2 months ago for my wife's breast

cancer, and the abnormal data repeated again after 1 month and so on to

monitor the success of the treatment.

Dr Gordon writes about Dr Kobayashi's TMCA on his website, and

believes it to be very good. He explains some of the components of the

TMCA. The test isn't available in America anymore, after the September

11 terrorist attacks, because blood samples need to be sent in dry ice.

There's also a write up about him in Japan Inc.

I'd like to hear any feedback and comments people might have about this

test. I've looked into some of the components of this test on the

internet, and he's explained the importance of some specific results to

me also, but there are many I have no idea about.

If you are interested in Dr Kobayashi's clinic and want to know more,

just email me and I'll do my best to answer your questions.

All the best.
