I have curcumin C3 capsules, each contains 500mg

When you say that you think 3g is the best dose, can you please tell me how many

capsules that would be? Is it 5 capsules? If you take the curcumin out of the

capsule do you increase it's potency?

thanks

Nili

Re: [ ] Turmeric Curcumin doses

I took my 6-9g of Curcumin, with Piperine with meals 3X a day. I say 6-9

because sometimes that's what I did but I tried to get the nine in. That advice

had come from when I first contacted him at the suggestion of a list

member whose son also had Bladder Cancer. There are Curcumin products out there

that have smaller amounts than what I was using.

I think it is correct to say the higher amounts are used in cancer treatment

protocols and perhaps others but cannot verify that.

As for taking something that provides an equivalent 35g ? Perhaps an

experienced practitioner can respond to that.

Here's the formula: 1 gram = 1,000 mgs. So 2 capsules at 500 mgs each

would be 1 gram.

If you wanted 3 grams and I don't know why only 3, you would need 6 capsules.

Then I think you have to consider that the bottle says there is only 95% of that

500 that is actually the Curcumin you are looking for.

Perhaps whomever recommended only 3 grams is a professional that knows a lot

more than me but my advice from , and that was 6 or so years ago, was

that I take 6-9 grams.

Hope this helped.

Dear Nili, 3g was if curcumin C3 is combined with piperine. My formulation is

with 400mg C3 in a caps with 10mg bioperine (piperine 96%). That means that the

3g are between 7 to 8 caps. Curcumin is a very very coloring powder, it is in

fact E440 recognized coloring agent in some foodstuff (bakeries, orange

juice...), than I'll not advice you to take it from the caps except if you want

to see the life in yellow in your kitchen.

Before I had a formulation with tetrahydrocurcumionoids which I preferred

regards to assimilation also combined with piperine, but I had to withdraw it

from the market because considered as " novel food " legislation.

For most studies, especially when there is just one, there can be found another

that speaks a different tune.

For openers we do not know the methods used and whether or not they made an

effort to improve bioavailability using fats or Piperine which other studies

showed a greatly improved rate of assimilation doing just that. However, they

may be correct that 3 grams is as good as 9 grams. I cannot prove otherwise.

Life is full of decisions and eventually we will make one. I found that I had

no problems with 9 grams and the person recommending it to me is a practitioner

and accredited scientist that is as knowledgeable as they come.

Again, it's always our decision and hopefully, a sensible one, not one that

simply fits the answer we wanted in the first place. We all fall into that

trap from time to time about any subject. I do but try to catch myself before

making too big a mistake.
