Guest guest
My husband had a tumor around his ear, had it surgically removed including the ear. It has been almost 2 years and he has developed vertigo. Don't know if it is surgery related or not. Any thoughts?
Guest guest
He probably has damage to hair cells in the inner ear. This will throw off the vestibular system. You want to get this looked into if it is delayed in onset from the surgery. Make sure it is not recurrence of the tumor growing into the inner ear. Guest guest
Personaly l would have to say, it's possible but not necessarily from the surgery. I have Vertigo now and have had it since the end of November. I have been to see an ENT Doctor and he has ordered up a MRI to determine if there is in deed a tumor. I think it's because l have had metastasize melanoma 5 times,in leg,arm and back and l would have to guess my Doctor wants to make sure there is, or isn't anything there, that could be the cause of the Vertigo. I am very much into the alternative, Holistic medicines and before l could get into see the Doctor l went to my health( must carry homeopathic remedies) food store and got a product called *vetigoheel*((1 888 879- 4335 )) web site is www.heel.ca . This is a homeopathic preparation and l have to tell ... it really worked. l may still have vertigo but l am not suffering from the dizziness, nausea and floating that l first experienced when l first came down with vertigo. It will take a few days to work but l wouldn't be without it in my cupboard (l am not taking it in the last few days) Also l believe this is more of a virus than an actual inter ear infection, but l am not suggesting your husband doesn't have a problem such as this, just in my case l think it is more likely a virus. So I think you need to make an appointment with an ENT doctor to have your husband checked out. My Doctor also said l had an unusual amount of ear wax in my left ear aad gave me some drops to help to get rid of the excess wax. Unfortunatley l have some hearing loss also in that ear (ringing for years now) and this was another reason he is checking me out with the MRI. If you can get a hold of the Homepathic medicine Vertigoheel at the very least it will make him feel more confortable, being dizzy all the time is so debilitating, trust me l know. Be well & God Bless. Holly K > > My husband had a tumor around his ear, had it surgically removed including the ear. It has been almost 2 years and he has developed vertigo.
