As the Federal Government begins to address the severe crisis in the

inability of many to get access to and pay for high cost medical care, it

becomes more obvious that some policies that only serve to curb economic

competition from natural foods and supplements can be eliminated.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) severely restricts the ability of to get

scientific and medical information about the proven health benefits of dietary

supplements and natural foods.

Although many peer reviewed studies have been conducted at prestigious

universities and hospitals showing that cherries can lower the risk of heart

disease, relieve pain and prevent cancer. The FDA prohibits cherry producers

from talking about this research.

In February 2008, the FDA obtained a court order to silence 29 cherry orchards

from talking about these scientifically valid claims.

The American Association for Health Freedom is organizing a campaign to enact A
