Guest guest
I have gall stones for about 6 months now--and my days are normally very painful one way or another--2-3 attacks a week and just aching all over! In my profession-and in general life-I do not take much pain relievers (over the counter or otherwise)...however I am attempting to start the " flushes " everyone is talking about...but in my work days I am wondering if anyone can suggest an over the counter something that will help my body from aching soo much? I have been taking some acid reducers (tag75) and Excedtian. However, I am still very achy and blah... As I know anyone out there w/ these stones are--I am fairly young and of near perfect health. So having this really throws my life in a painful loop. Thank you listen to me run on about nothing and welcome any helpful hints on living--Take care~
Guest guest
I have found heat to be about the best relief I can find. You could use a hot water bottle, or heating pad. I put unpopped popcorn in a big tube sock and sew end, then put in microwave for about 4 minutes...it hasn't popped yet and I've been using the same batch for months. Then I just put it anywhere that it hurts. Lots of times around the front of my abdomen just below rib cage, or down between my back and chair I'm sitting at, wherever it hurts. Lots of times it will loosen things up so that whatever is the problem is released whether it be gas or stone. (This is even more effective if you are lying down and relaxed and apply heat). Be sure you avoid fats, eggs!!, cheese, fatty meats, soups that have fat, anything fat. I was able to get away with a little fat now and then by taking one of those natural supplements that absorb it in the stomach, like fat grabbers. There's others, but thats the one I use. I also take a fat digestive enzyme and lecithin, which emulsifies fat. Hope that helps until you can get around to flushing, or whatever remedy you chose. L.
