OFTEN PEOPLE WOULD WRITE OR PHONE REGARDING THE FLUSH. I WOULD GO THROUGH THE SPEIL ABOUT HOW THEY SHOULD 'PROBABLY' HAVE AN ULTRSOUND FIRST AS THERE COULD BE STONES - THAT THEY 'REALLY' SHOULD DO LIVER FREINDLY EATING PRINCIPLES FIRST FOR 6 MONTHS ETC ETC. ONE DAY A LADY CALLED - SHE WAS ON THE SECOND DAY OF THE FLUSH - READY TO DO THE OLIVE OIL EPSOM SALTS PART - AND HAD A QUESTION - I SAID DID YOU HAVE AN ULTRASOUND - REPLY - NO. I SAID THAT SHE REALLY SHOULD AS SHE WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT WAS IN THERE - THERE MAY BE A LARGE STONE. BUT SHE WAS ADAMANT THAT SHE WAS GOING TO CONTINUE - SO I BACKED OFF AND SAID 'OK - WELL IF YOU FEEL A PAIN IN YOUR SIDE THAT GETS SEVERE - YOU GO TO THE HOSPITAL OK? SHE SAID YEP - ALRIGHT' I FORGOT ABOUT IT AND 2 WEEKS LATER THAT WOMAN CALLED SHE HAD JUST BEEN RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL AFTER GOING THROUGH A LIVING HELL AND LOST HER , OTHERWISE QUITE OK, GALL BLADDER IN THE PROCESS. SHE HAD A LARGE STONE THAT DURING THE FLUSH BECAME LODGED IN HER BILE DUCT TEARING IT SEVERELY NECESSITATING SURGERY AND A 2 WEEK STAY IN HOSPITAL. PLEASE ROSEMARY - IF YOU ARE GOING TO RECOMMEND PEOPLE GO OUT AND DO THIS - PLEASE INSIST THAT THEY BE CLEARED OF HAVING LARGE STONES FIRST. I FELT SO BAD FOR THAT WOMAN AND REALISE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN FAR MORE INSISTANT THAT SHE GET CHECKED OUT AS SHE COULD HAVE AVOIDED ALL THAT PAIN AND SUFFERING - FINANCIAL AS WELL AS PHYSICAL SHE WAS IN THE US! [snipped] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Vic and Rosemary I'm glad you posted this information as it does go to show just how necessary it is to know what it is you may be up against in doing the liver and gallbladder flush. This story is very similar to what I was diagnosed with having as the doctor told me I had " A " stone and a thickened and diseased gallbladder. My doctor told me I should have it taken out within the next two weeks after the diagnosis. When I decided to do a gallbladder flush my life was truly on the line. I'd already had a friend die from a pancreas, liver and gallbladder complication just a few years before finding out I had a problem with mine. So, I was a bit apprehensive about even doing it. Before actually doing a gallbladder and liver flush I prepared for a few weeks before hand by gathering information on getting stones to reduce in size or at least breakup in to smaller sizes to pass through the bile duct, which is an average size of around 4mm. Stones may get to be, as in my case, 17 mm, that's quite a stretch for a little length of tubing normally 4mm round. gallstones/files/Gallstones.jpg The first thing I did was to stop eating all sorts of hydrogenated fats and saturated animal fats. Talk about a withdraw, it was very tough stopping the eating of pizza and extremely difficult to try going out to eat. I now looked at all fast food locations as potentially deadly poison. So, I learned to cook just for myself and did a lot of steamed stirfry, juicing, and fasting. Life became something really different from the norm, or what use to be my norm. Was it worth the trouble? Yes!! Today, I can go out to eat and don't have too much trouble with getting what I like to eat since my liver and gallbladder have been getting better and better over the years since October of '99'. I'm still conscientious about what I eat but at least I don't have to be so anal as I was previously. The important point here is realizing what you have and what to do with it to get the best results. It's not an easy decision to make and can have adverse consequences. The story related above is the first I've heard of someone having such a serious problem with a gallbladder flush. With my experience of how I prepared it makes me wonder just how well prepared the individual was to do this. Some people jump into doing the liver and gallbladder flush with just a suspicion of a gallbladder problem when the real problem could be something completely different, even though there may be stones it doesn't mean it's a gallbladder problem causing pain, and especially if there is abdominal pain from odd areas. Guest guest
I thought that there was more potential of getting a small stone stuck........... Bigger stones just didn't make it through I thought..... Suzanne
Guest guest
Dear Dale, Thanks for your reply. Might I add that my husband and I did the flush last week. He got out over a tablespoon of stones and I counted over 40. One of mine was over 1cm. We are glad we did the flush and intend to do more. Warm regards, Rosemary. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dale Gallstones Sent: Friday, January 24, 2003 8:47 AM Subject: Re: Fw: Liver Flush Warning. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> [snipped] DEAR ROSEMARY ITS GREAT THAT YOU ARE FINDING BENEFIT AND FEEL THAT YOU ARE GETTING SOMEWHERE WITH ALL THIS.
