Hi everyone,

About 2 months ago I got up in the middle of the nite and took my

magnesium capsule which I try to take every day, about 1/4 teaspoon

of cayenne(which I had just started taking for my stomach), and about

1/3 cup of soy milk. The next morning I was SO strangely ill. I had

the shakes, a wierd pain in the right pit of my stomach,( I almost

felt like there was a sprain there), and no appetite. I was sick for

about 3 days as I gradually felt better. I had a feeling at the time

that it had to do with my gallbladder. I still get a milder feeling

of that pain sometimes. About 1 week ago I started surfing the

internet for info. I was so excited by all the great info and people

out there. I believe now that the magnesium dilated my bile ducts

while the cayenne sent my gallbladder into heavy bile squirting

action. What I wonder is whether it sent a stone into my bile duct

somewhere since I still get those pains sometimes. Since then I've

had to be EXTREMELY careful with my diet.

Now I need to decide on my mode of action. I am afraid to do a flush

right away. I ordered some gold coin grass and coptis. Do you think I

could do a mini flush with some Epsom salts and then 3TBS olive oil

and grapefruit juice? Maybe I need to get my bile ducts dilated

again. I wish I knew what was going on in there.

Also do I just get the Epsom salts in the drugstore in that milk

carton looking container? The same kind you use for putting in the

bath. And what is the best kind of olive oil to use?

Thank you,

Jean

Jean;

Your pain discription certainly sounds like a gallbladder or liver situation. It

is quite possible that you did get a stone stuck that caused the problem you

experienced but it's also possible to have the same sort of pain with a liver

attack. My worst attack was when I was actually free of all stones, but because

I had totally avoided all forms of fats my liver was pretty near being badly

damaged. The simularity is amazing and would be very hard to distinguish from a

gallbladder attack excepting there not being any stones of which to cause the

pain. However, I was aware that I previously had gallstones and I feel that is

an important thing to know, for sure, before doing a liver and gallbladder

flush.

My liver ALT was 604 with a high normal being 50, AST was 244 high normal is 50,

ALK was 197 with high normal 130. So, as can be seen here they were not too good

at all. You could say I was in deep poo poo at this time. However, I just

recently had a blood test done and my test showed ALT 12, AST; 13, and ALK 69.

Needless to say I'm pretty happy about the results. The test was done to find

out if I had the potential of gout because of an injured foot. But as it is my

readings were all mid normal excepting one, glucouse, which was right at the

high normal.

The amount of oil that you're talking about taking is just about the same amount

you might get from eating a large salad with vineger and oil as a dressing,

since three tablespoons is just an ounce and a half of oil. It would be good

for EFA maintenance but not really enough to cause a good liver and gallbladder

flush to take place.

Magnisum sulfate isn't really dialateing the bile ducts. What it does is it

allows the duct tissue to be more elastic. So, taking it on a regular basis is

generally good for over all supple tissue conditioning. That's why bathing in it

is good for making the skin feel softer too. The milk carton type is just fine,

it's the same one I use.

When it comes to olive oil buy the best cold pressed extra virgin olive oil you

can find. It usually costs a bit more but it's usually worth the results that

one can get.
