Guest guest
There are a few websites that tout the benefits of whey powder for cancer. The naturopath I went to also recommended whey, and in my own personal experience, it makes me feel a lot better after I take it. My muscles feel stronger, I sleep better, and my overall attitude seems to improve. This is not placebo effect, because I've experimented with many many different vitamins and supplements, and know when one helps and when one doesn't. I believe it boosts the glutathione cycle in the body. One naturopath in BC Canada has an interesting page on whey and the Budwig diet: http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/Budwig-diet-revision.html But is whey dairy? It is definitely derived from dairy, but does it still carry the detriments of dairy? Or has it become a different " foodstuff " which really isn't dairy anymore? Any experiences with, and feedback on whey out there?
Guest guest
Jim I avoid whey like he plague because it is said to contain IGF-1. That's why the body builders take it. My naturopath says it's ok. I see that you like to do research. Do some on this and report back. This is an important issue.
Guest guest
Why would IGF-1 be bad for cancer patients ? I thought cold denatured whey was beneficial, which is different from the stuff the body builders use ~Amber -------Original Message------- I avoid whey like he plague because it is said to contain IGF-1.
