Guest guest
Hi Health Activists, Dr.Serafina Corsello,MD, was one of the leading alternative medical practitioners in the New York metropolitan area. She was one of the original members of the medical advisory committee to the National Institute of Health, that established the Office of Alternative Medicine (now the National Center on Complementary and Alternative Medicine). The New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) revoked her license in 2001, when her attorney failed to answer the charges brought against Dr.Corsello. The result was that OPMC presumed that Dr.Corsello admitted to the charges, thus the substantive issues were never adressed.. The charges did not involve any patient harm, and ranged from too much testing, use of vitamin infusions, vitamin supplements, chelation therapy, making diagnosis inconsistent with medical standards, such as lead toxicity and inaccurate and false record keeping. The first and last sound like insurance company boilerplate to deny care and the others are some of the better known therapies of Alternative Medicine and in direct violation of New York's Alternative Medical Practice Act. Please contact your Assemblyman _www.assembly.state.ny.us_ (http://www.assembly.state.ny.us) and State Senator _www.senate.state.ny.us_ (http://www.senate.state.ny.us) and ask them to contact the State Department of Education Office of Professional Discipline and urge them to restore Dr.Corsello's license, which can be done after waiting 5 years, which have passed.
