Guest guest
The ‘best’ treatment for a sore throat is still gargling with tepid/warm salt water. Are you calling it a “Strep Throat†because of how bad it is? I’ve been there but thankfully not for many many year. I even remember a fellow airman in the Air Force, in the hospital, getting a salt water constant flow into his throat and out again by using an enema type bag. Too bad you didn’t start this, unless you did, at the first sign of soreness. Joe C. Every treatment I know of is either alcoholic, honey based, or both. Guest guest
In addition to salt water for a sore throat, gargling with deluted apple cider vinegar works great too. It will also surpress coughing too if swallowed and speeds up the healing of a cold. But it taste awful.  From: JoeCastron <jcastron1@...> Subject: Re: [ ] sugar and strep throat Date: Thursday, February 17, 2011, 6:39 AM The ‘best’ treatment for a sore throat is still gargling with tepid/warm salt water.  Are you calling it a “Strep Throat†because of how bad it is? Guest guest
Greetings, I went from feeling great to a totally crusted throat in less than half an hour, and from there straight down hill. I have been using the salt water gargle, but for once, it is not helping. I am finally getting better, but yesterday was really rotten, I broke down and used a hot toddy to get to sleep last night and it really helped. Strep throat is doing the rounds and I have had it before. But I have never had anything come on this fast and this wicked. Guest guest
Joe is quite right, I find natural sea salt works a bit better than store bought. However this is a from of a yeast overgrowth in the intestines and this needs to be addressed with probiotics, a yeast killer and a diet of no sugar. Strep shows up as white spots near the tonsils. The Vitamin D blood level may be low as well. Guest guest
If you are a little better then continue gargling even if it did not stop it immediately. Do it at least 3-4 times a day. I firmly believe that you needed the relief so you could sleep and a lot of healing takes place when sleeping. I am persuaded that enough pain can be worse than what you do to stop it and the ‘toddy’ is not a big deal and at least you slept. Joe C. Guest guest
Greetings, You are right, I haven't been drinking my kefir lately. And with it being winter, my D level is probably going down. I will do something about the kefir, right away. Guest guest
Grapefruit Seed Extract From Organically Grown Grapefruit Unfiltered Formula - " The grapefruit bioflavonoids (polyphenolics) are converted into an extremely potent compound that has been proven highly effective in numerous applications " . 10 drops in 8 oz glass of water, gargle as much as you need! That is excellent - works as natural antibiotic. Tash

Guest guest
Eye washes and some eye drops contain boric acid, a excellent yeast killer. I could see this working well. If I ever get strep again I am going to try this. Vic ________________________________ From: Randall Crossley Sent: Thu, February 17, 2011 I feel eye drops work better. Guest guest
Correct, ONLY for your throat (viral and bacterial infection. You can also drink it - one of the best candida remedies). I have used it for years, and have been giving it to my kids. A few drops in the water and you can wash your fruit and vegetables. Google it please[?]
