HELP-friend given death sentence, losing battle with adrenal cancer

I just joined this group today in hope of finding some help to a very good

friend of mine. He has been fighting adrenal cancer for a long time. I think

over five years? it first showed up in the kidneys and he has had one removed.

Two years ago someplace else, last year someplace else and this past month in

the intestines. it just won't go away and they said his only option was surgery;

they did try an experimental drug called mitotane? not sure if that is the

correct spelling. he had an ultrasound done in march, no tumors, nothing. then

three months later they are showing up in his intestine area. so they decide to

operate, which they did three weeks ago. Surgeon called spouse, who was waiting

at home since they didn't do it later in the day and was a six hour operation,

and informed her that he got everything. She was thrilled. He did say he had to

piece him back together through the intestines, colon area and he would need a

bag for 8-10 weeks. he comes home a week later, very tired, worn out, taking

pain pills, hard to wake up in the morning, probably due to the pain pills. They

go to the oncologist two days ago to go over reports and the oncologist informs

them that they did not get everything and he is no longer a candidate for

surgery and it is time for him to get his life together, especially finances,

because there is nothing more to do. He did suggest trying chemo, i guess the

tumors may be in the stomach area now and they have great success treating women

with ovarian cancer this way?? but he is too weak, not eating that much and has

lost a tremendous amount of weight. so he has to get better before having chemo.

they now have him on a pain patch and he has been miserable for the past day.

they said it takes 72 hours to kick in and then he will feel better.

I told her I would search on line for anything possible that might help him in

an alternative way. I asked her why haven't the doctors put him on some sort of

immune booster?? I, myself, use homeopathic remedies for myself and animals.

Would ginseng help? what would be a good immune booster? I've used something

called bioplasma, which is 12 cell salts, for myself and animals here.

Can anyone out there help us? has anyone been through this sort of cancer that

never goes away? Does he have a chance to get through this? He has basically

been given a death sentence; he's only 56 years old.
