Guest guest
I believe that there was a recent FDA ruling requiring all raw almonds to be irradiated so as to prohibit them from harboring some of the various bacteria that's been growing on the food nut crops. I do not know if any manufacturers are actually doing it yet. -Dave Happy Shel wrote: > What kind of nonsense is this about selling raw almonds in America. Guest guest
Not talking about whole foods. And I did read at another health food store (herbalist owner not chain) in some magazine or something about it being proposed otherwise known as mandated much like raw milk. Guest guest
My favorite health food co-op in town is selling irridated almonds only. They are the leaders in providing raw foods in Portland and yet sell ONLY raw almonds. I am switching to another nut for my nut mylks. I believe that there was a recent FDA ruling requiring all raw almonds to be irradiated so as to prohibit them from harboring some of the various bacteria that's been growing on the food nut crops.
