You can go here to learn more about your machine, even though it is a competitor of Sota who'll be instructing you. http://www.ioa.com/~dragonfly/bbstuff.html Dale
Guest guest
Hi - I was actually born and raised in Jo'burg but live in the USA now. Welcome to the list. Weight loss is erratic and also depends on what you eat (load up on beneficial, especially animal protein) and on getting plenty of intense exercise - though ease into it if you are out of shape. Try a good prune juice or prunes in the morning (sweeten with pineapple or other beneficial). I think there are also some other constipation tips in the book and at the www.dadamo.com site. Also, if you are hypothyroid, getting your secretor status checked will help you more accurately plan your diet. I've know several Type 0's who've really help their thyroid on this diet. stephen www.xiveren.com " But you know something? Sometimes you have to break the rules to free your heart. Guest guest
Welcome to this great group. It is so much fun to have everyone to " talk " to from all over the world.! Constipation is a thing which seems to affect everyone at some time. I have found that prunes are not as effective as figs..at least for me. Before bed I eat 2 or 3 (fresh if possible) figs and a large glass of water as hot as I can get it down. Morning is gentle but with the desired results. Hope this helps. Guest guest
chumboods@... Welcome to the group. If you want to loose weight on this diet eat ground flax seed on almost everything you can for about a month and use the food combining method and I think that will kick start it. And eliminate all grains and focus on meat and vegetables with little or no fruit, and see what that does. Also pumpkin seeds and walnuts will help. Guest guest
Before using laxatives for constipation I would recommend Vit C and magnesium. They are good for you and will get your bowels moving. Kathy --- chumboods@... wrote: > Hi everyone, I live in South Africa and have been on > this diet for > approx. 3 weeks now. Guest guest
Just use common sense in your diet. A heathly diet, watch the fat and iron. High Iron intake is hard on the liver. Many prescribed drugs are not good for the liver. Check out hepcnet.net lots of info there.

I'm sure you'll find this club as supportive and informative as I have since I joined a while back.....

If at all possible, do away with RED MEAT (it's high in FAT and IRON, two things that your liver can do without right now)... that's a tough one if -- like my friend who's HCV+ -- you're very fond of steaks and stuff like that... but it certainly IS worth the sacrifice, as far as the general health of your (already weakened) liver is concerned.

DON'T take GINKO-BILOBA...
