Homeopathy makes absolutely no sense to me. How can something that is nothing

but water heal something? I just don't get it.

If water is picking up the vibrations of things, why doesn't homeopathic water

pick up the vibrations of the thousands of irrelavent things that it is in

contact with along with the homeopathic substance?

Look -- I believe in UFOs, Atlantis, JFK, RFK, and MLK conspiracies, etc, etc,

but I just don't get homeopathy or why anyone would believe in it.

I *understand* homeopathy but not enough to use it. Basically it works like a

allergy shot. Like cures like. Soooo a small amount of what ails you will spark

the life force? into rallying itself and curing itself. I do know that when my

kids get sick I do not because they are constantly drinking out of my cup. But

if one of their friends gets sick I generally do but much milder because they do

not drink out of my cup. I do not get small amounts of what ails them as I do

with my kids.

Great care is to be taken with making remedies so as not to contaminate them.

Yes, but homeopathy claims the most potent solutions are those that are diluted

the most, to the point where it is mathematically impossible that any of the

original substance remains, and all you have is water.

The claim is that the water picks up the " vibration " of the substance. My claim

is that water is in contact with so many substances (thousands, if not tens of

thousands) that it would be picking up the vibrations of so many things as to

make the intended substance lost in a myriad of other vibrations.

If one believes the " vibration theory " . Personally I don't believe the

vibration theory to begin with, but postulating that it is true, then it too

would be worthless because the water would have thousands of vibrations.

I have known people who claimed to be completely cured by homeopathy.

Once, when I was 13 years old, a friend of mine sold a sugar cube with some food

coloring on it to a jerk down the street for $5, saying it was LSD. The next

day he described his " trip " to my friend and I in detail, and asked him if he

had any more. Go figure...

I am skeptical also but they have done tests on the water. Anyway I also use

flower essences on myself and my dog and they also work. And you can not

influence a dog by telling it what will work.

I also asked my son who is studying to be a dr and he basically said that the

stronger the person the less potent a remedy has to be for the body to respond

(or did I get that backwards LOL)

-The placebo effect is a factor....

here in my country a few organic farmers use homeopathy to treat

their animals...are animals sensible to placebo ? maybe...

Homeopathy comes in many subtypes and there are many explanations...

I have used it and my husband uses immunoserocytoltherapy against

cancer. It helps , in experienced hands

Homeopathic remedies are traditionally solid pellets. The only liquid

would be a tincture. I have used homeopathy on many occassions to cure

ailements in both myself and my dog and it works. The key is to find the right

remedy..that is the only way homeopathy will work.
