Guest guest
Hi , > From: scottyd99@... << Valley Cancer Institute [VCI] down in LA for their Hyperthermia treatment? ....I'm still a stage IV PC with pain now in my hips and shoulders and lower back. PSA 364 and climbing from 15.6 last April 5, 2010... son>> Hyperthermia's (when properly combined w/other treatments) is very effective, especially w/prostate cancer (PC), though for stage-4 cancer, you need to use whole-body hyperthermia, which isn't available in the USA. VCI's much better than conventional cancer hospitals because of their hyperthermia, but there are so many clinics that are much better for stage-4 PC. Excerpts from my notes on VCI: mostly conventional; nutritional info; educational support. reportedly great results w/inflammatory BC (IBC) (at least stages I & II) & prostate cancer; " local-regional hyperthermia...lower than usual doses of radiation therapy, " which is effective w/ " early-stage breast and prostate cancer. For other kinds of cancer, it is frequently an effective way of retarding the growth of tumors. Dr. Bicher does not claim more than palliation and hopefully increased survival for advanced disease. Most of our clients who have gone to Valley have been pleased...Some of them credit Dr. Bicher with saving their lives " www.cancerdecisions.com/onlineupdate (RalphMoss.com, 2001); " leading hyperthermia clinic in the United States " (RalphMoss.com, 2001) “has a small research lab and patients can be hospitalized nearby...treatment lasts from five to eight weeks...mood…is friendly and up-beat….people…from the radiation departments at big cancer centers, have expressed surprise at the relatively old-fashioned radiation equipment…nutrition, herbs, immunotherapy, etc. are only addressed in a rudimentary way†RalphMoss.com 2008 " often uses very low dose radiation. This keeps it legal for them to use local hyperthermia. I have known patients with accessible cancers such as squamous of the head and neck and local breast cancer who did very well....Valley would not be a good choice for metastatic cancers " vgammill@... 4/3/07 “Valley does microwave hyperthermia with radiation as is required in the US. Their radiation equipment is quite old. At least they are willing to use lower doses†vgammill@... 2/08 " I did not have a good experience with Dr. Bicher....definitely has helped people, but it is not a systemic treatment " “I was not impressed with the clinic or doctors†“assembly-line approach " " I also have yet to meet a single cancer [patient at VCI] that has actually been cured " Leonard
