Guest guest
Gita, I think you need to find a vet you trust. I have and have had many pets over the years. And I have treated many pets with antibiotics. I have cats, they get into fights, etc. and they would die without antibiotics. I don't think you should diagnose your pet yourself. How you treat the illness is one thing but I would never venture a diagnoses myself. In fact the other day one of my cats starting hyperventilating and I rushed him to the emergency room and it is a good thing I did. He was having heart failure. He is now on human cardiac drugs. And my holistic vet said there is no other holistic treatment for him. Without them he will have heart failure and eventually will most likely succumb to this regardless. I will take him to an energy healer and I will do spiritual work on him but he would be dead without the intervention of the wonderful doctors who treated him. And if your dog has an infection it is a horrible thing to die from and generally very treatable with antibiodics. What is your expectation or education vis a vis action of existing antibiotics ? On what do you base your need to rush or urge someone to rush to a " doctor/vet " On what do you base your need to rush or urge someone t I am very curious. Guest guest
Wow! What herbs do you use instead of antibiotics??? My cat with the heart problem also has a abscess from a fight that we have been trying to clean up with antibiotics to avoid surgery (it has been several months) and none have worked. Now that the heart is an issue surgery would be a great risk but if we can't clean this up it is going to have to be a consideration. They cultured it a few days ago and we are waiting for the results. Thanks! Debbie cheri607@... writes: I have not found a real need for antibiotics. I use herbs. That being said if the animal is definitely acting badly (sick) I will go to a vet for a diagnosis so I can treat accordingly. Cheri

Guest guest
Depends on the illness. My standard for most everything is echinecea sp? and goldenseal. Worked on scarlett fever strep and more. I treat both human and animal family members the same. Some swear by collodial silver sp? but I do not have a generator to make my own and the store stuff is not as good. Cheri > > Wow! Guest guest
She is eating well, drinking water etc as usual, going for her walks willingly, passing urine and motion normally. She is alert and as active as usual. The pus appearance etc is rapidly subsiding. I also read that this is a normal phase in a posting by women who are self treating for breast cancer (was it here?). Guest guest
Now this is just me not a recommendation. If it was Apollo and he was eating drinking eliminating and playing acting normal and pus is subsiding I would watch and see what happens. Continue support maybe give echinecea and golden seal or CS. Guest guest
Yes it grows here. You can also get it on the net but not sure about having it delivered where you live. I have my own stash (garden) of medicinal plants just in case. Guest guest
Thanks, Cheri. I am finding it very hard to locate replies to my messages LOL! Molly sends you lots of love as she is absolutely delighted with the raw feeding -yesterday she had a chicken leg-it is such fun seeing her tackle all this! And all the small small tips are doing so much for her. Gita " cheryl " wrote: Yes it grows here. You can also get it on the net but not sure about having it delivered where you live. Guest guest
LOL mail is not any better. New messages inserted in the middle of old messages. Glad she is loving it. Cheri > Yes it grows here. Guest guest
You folks are so brave-it's kind of lonely as there's only those who solemnly swear that you have to cart yourself and dog to a doc/vet or those who tut tut and leave you alone to face it LOL It's scary, it's sad, it's happy, it's lonely but it sure is better than saying I give up Glad she is loving it.
