Hello Vivien

I read your posts and just wondered if you have had an Extended Glucose

Tolerance test...my husband has suffered for three years with his

hypothyroidism, hashimoto's and was just not getting better

after lots of test he found he was suffering from Reactive Hypoglycemia...but he

is , like you, not diabetic

This went part way to explain his dizziness, palpatations and sweating/ anxiety

/ panic attacks

We also got a 24 hour adrenal test done and it showed his adrenals are weak at

certain times of the day and this affects your blood sugar regulation and lots

of other things such as how T4's are converted and absorbed into the body

google " reactive hypoglycemia adrenals " ....it lists symptons most of which my

husband has

He is now on a low GI diet[ kigh protein, low carbohydrates/ no refined sugar]

and just today started Nutri Adrenal Extra supplements to tyr to boost the

strength and stability of his adrenals which we hope will then help address his

hyopthyroidism and his hypoglycemia

I hope you don't mind me sending you a message like this and I hope you are

making progress and feeling ok

Ruth

Ps your English is perfect!

PPs I have had all the same problems with doctors ...they do not like it when

you know more than they do! Our GP even said " I don't know anything about

Reactive Hypoglycemia " ......!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!

Dear friends,

My 54 year old brother came over today looking very jaundiced, and told us that

he had cancer. He has a tumor on his bile duct 4cmx5cm and will be getting a

shunt inserted tomorrow. They will also remove some lymph nodes to see if it

has metasticized. Then, depending on the results, they will either do chemo,

surgery, & more chemo. It's too soon to know exactly.

I did some research on bile duct tumors and it does not look good, especially

if it has metasticized. Dim prognosis.

He also has m.s. and has been on that interferon medication, avonex, for 15

years. (I have begged him to try to wean himself off of that med, but he

wouldn't consider trying that.)

This is going to be a tough one. He eats mostly organic food (at my suggestion

a few years back)and lives cleanly. Is there any complementary treatment or

supplement that anyone who has had experience with this type of cancer can

suggest for him. Thank you all very much.
