Depression remedies (most of which are also cancer-healing):

Diet: Eat complex carbs (low-sugar fruits, vegetables), Brazil nuts, garlic

vit. D3 (cholecalciferol)-- www.mbschachter.com (a holistic psychiatrist I have

much respect for) said it’s very effective (and particularly important if

one’s not getting much sunlight); " 30 days of...vitamin D

supplementation...[seasonal affective disorder (SAD)] depression completely

resolved " (Gloth et al., J.Nutr.Health Aging 1999); 6,000 IU/day reduced

depression (J. Intl. Med. 264, p. 599, 2008). For more info,

www.denvernaturopathic.com/VitaminDandMood.htm

EPA (fish or cod liver oil†" use a good brand like www.NordicNaturals.com or

Carlson's)

EXERCISE

Schultz, ND (https://web2.herbdoc.com/index.php? & c=1) reports marked

improvements in severe depression from colon cleansing (e.g., colonics) (which

is known to markedly improve health in general).

Other depression remedies:

VITAMIN B COMPLEX (www.lef.org/protocols/emotional_health/depression_01.htm),

particularly FOLIC ACID (200-500mcg)

SAMe†" 400-1200mg on empty stomach; expensive; " Clinical trials...show SAMe to

be as effective as tricyclic antidepressants...(Mischoulon D et al 2002;

Pancheri P et al 2002) "

www.lef.org/protocols/emotional_health/depression_01.htm

St. ’s wort†" effective in 50-70% cases of mild depression (but it

interferes w/at least 1 antidepressant)

For more info on natural remedies,

www.lef.org/protocols/emotional_health/depression_01.htm

http://orthomolecular.org/library/articles/ocdepression.shtml (Hugh Riordan,

M.D.)

www.home-remedies-for-you.com/remedy/Depression.html

http://www.webspawner.com/users/ecsdepressiontx/index.html (Edgar Cayce

remedies)

A study found individualized homeopathy more effective than Prozac.

Here's info on Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT; www.eftuniverse.com) for

depression:

www.mercola.com/2006/may/6/can_serious_depression_be_successfully_treated_withou\

t_drugs.htm

I know EFT's very effective for many things but don't know anything about

its efficacy w/depression.

Hey, thanks for all of those valuable links. The internet is wonderful

but sometimes its a bit of information overload isn't it. I am going

to save these for sure. I'm doing some of them and I do feel some

better. Think part of it was environmental. I'm not the kind of person

that should spend four months alone mostly talking to me! LOL I got

out in the sun yesterday, tilled my garden, that helped.

Went to a horse whisperer demo too Friday, amazing. Horses should

never be broken, they should be gentled. Might have located a walking

horse in my neighborhood I can ride, that always helps me. Will

was right when he said that " the outside of a horse could heal the

inside of a man " . Nothing relaxes me like riding a gaited walking

horse and the gal down the road has 38 acres to ride on.

Thanks!
