Guest guest
Dear Marla, My tasteless odourless coconut oil is certified organic Omega Nutrition, but it is not virgin or extra-virgin. Use of the words " virgin & extra-virgin " are not regulated, and can be used on any product, and often is used, as a marketing tool. See the article in the files on Omega Nutrition Coconut Oil which clarifies the issue. Bee

I was able to buy VCO at the " Whole Foods " chain, I think they are rather expensive, but at least there's no shipping charge. I think Trader Joes carries some, I'm not sure. If you have any ethnic grocery stores around, I'd try looking there too.
Guest guest
just continue takin your VCO and in the long run your blood pressure will normalize, I also have that problem like yours before, but now I am very much OK. Take 1 tbsp in the morning, 1 at lunch time & 1 before dinner time. Guest guest
Jackie...I wonder if it was a cleansing reaction or what they call a herxheimer reaction. VCO supposedly kills off microbes which then creates toxins circulating in your system. I know about this type of reaction very well because I have chronic Lyme Disease and the same principle works with antibiotics killing off the germs in this situation also. In fact, many times one welcomes this reaction of intensified symptoms or tiredness because it can indicate that the remedies are hitting the spot Margie Jackie <jacqueline33875@...> wrote: Just to let you know i stopped taking the 3 tbsp of VCO a day because i was concerned about the weight. well let me tell you, it has been about a week, I feel like i had all the energy sucked right out of me!! i am so tired. i come home from work and i don't even want to cook dinner. forget working out. i was tired before i started VCO but now i can't move. tomorrow is a new day. back to the drawing board!!!! __________________________________________________________ Want to start your own business? Guest guest
> Jackie, I think you should get checked out for allergies and hormonal imbalances. I believe you have said in the past you have cut out pasta, bread etc The thing i don't understand if your energy was so high on the vco is your metabolism must have been up. You should over time lose weight in conjunction with healthy nutritious food. Maybe you could do a food dairy for a week and let everyone have a look if you're brave enough. Someone else might spot a problem that you have not. As i said it could be an allergy. I can't remember if you said how much weight you want to lose. If you are not very overweight i think i would prefer the energy even if i did put on a few pounds. How long have you been taking it? Do you need to cut out grains as these contain fibre, coconut flour is very high in fibre. As long as they are not refined and you have no allergy to them i personally would not cut out bread, etc. though others would disagree. Just make sure bread doesn't contain soya or the wrong oils or fats. Make your own bread using vco and choice of flour. If you had the allergy test you would know exactly where you stand where food was concerned. Guest guest
> > Jackie Have you checked your temperature. 3hrs after rising, then twice more during the day at 3 hr intervals. Do this for 5 days and take an average. The tiredness could indicate some sort of thyroid problem. If you have the vco you should still lose weight even with thyroid problem but you have to cut out foods that affect thyroid. Do you eat soya? That's the first thing to cut out if you do. I'm assuming you have cut out all polyunsaturated oils. Some fermented products are okay like miso, shoyu etc. I can't remember all your posts so obviously ignore if you have already checked everything out. Refined or processed coconut oil is not the type of coconut oil recommended, it is ONLY the virgin kind. Additionally it's got many healthy things in it. I read the articles in the files on VCO which make it osund so wonderful, just wondering why others think it so bad for us to consume without cooking. Its hard to explain why eating gats is good when for so long they tell us its bad. Its deep in my head and i need to change my thought process but the fact that my cholorestrol is down is a good sign! Guest guest
Hi Laz, None of us in the family is allergic to virgin coconut oil. Probably because we are all Filipinos living in the Philippines where coconuts are abundant aka #1 producer in the world. Self made coconut oil or virgin coconut oil is the base oil of Filipino traditional healers. My wife and I were allergic to the documented side effect in the box of the anti-fungal drug that said: " liver cirrhosis " and " death " .
